What Lego set did you buy today?

Went to two 99 Cent Stores today and found the usual suspects - Bart and Bad Cop. I spoke to the manager of one of them and he said some guy in a van swooped 1600 units right off the pallet last night. I wanted to stock up on Dr. Who and BTTF but it's looking no bueno.

Wow. This might be one of the craziest deals I ever found. I just left Savers (a goodwill type store). Found a big bag of Legos marked $9.99. I had a 30% off coupon, so I paid $7. I wasn't sure what w

Did the manager say what packs were on the pallet? The manager I spoke to said the sets they got yesterday would be put out in the morning. He wasn't too eager to look or get me any boxes from the back early.

I was in 3 stores today and they got same stock, mix of old ones, like zane, lotr, witch or so...and new packs, as bttf, drwho, JW, krusty, benny, laval...will be visiting 3 more tonight. Interesting but JW 4-6 boxes in each store, not a lot...

Shipping box too small? No problem.

Received today from Kmart. $19 for all 3.

Manager told me that BTTF and Dr Who were part of the mass swooping. I think the same guy has wiped out my area as I'm seeing the new sets now minus BTTF and Who.

My BAM was restocked with three minty Trevi Fountains. Last day to use my $10 reward cards. I had a full trunk when I left.

I wonder how that guy knew what was going to be in the shipment.

My 3 year quest and wait is finally over!  After losing out on numerous Ebay auctions (lost one last night with what seems to be in the usual last 5 seconds to a person that never bid on the item all day) and CL listings, I was finally able to buy the 3368 Space Centre I have so desired and I got it for $90 NISB with free shipping.  It is the final piece I wanted for my space collection.  Good things do come to those who wait...

That's sniping for you.... I use it too. You can configure your sniping software to fire in the last few seconds, if you're brave.

I couldn't help but drop another $20 on this 99 Cent Only madness.dimensions.jpg

Yep, great find...thats what i need in unlimited quantities...droped 500 on this new packs, hard to find and sell like hotckakes...somebody got all goodies. I got this...b7533cec1a550e14b20641e19678b1c0.jpgbut i gig up some 5 cases of JW...[emoji573]

I bought 18 more Portal 2. I couldn't help myself. It took all my self control to leave 10 on the shelf. This Dimensions blowout is really testing my resolve. I'm telling myself to cool it until I see Doctor Who.

Parting these out was fun at first, but is getting overwhelming. Tonight I ditched the boxes before I left the parking lot. Here's my full recycle bin today:

So do you guys get paid 0.99$ for every Simpsons pack you take home or how does this 99 cent thing work?

Hahaha, my friend. I actually think the Homer pack will do well. You can't go wrong for $0.99 for a minifigure and the two mini builds that are included. After this liquidation fizzles out, I think a lot of these sets will be the cheapest way to get a minifigure without having to buy a set.

Don't forget to take into account the huge influx of supply into the secondary market. There's only a limited amount of buyers, and with so many sellers there will be a race to the bottom price wise. Unless your a seasoned bricklink seller and used to parting out sets, people usually give up parting stuff out and just move massive inventory for minimial profit to avoid the hassle.

City of Stiix - 50% off on SAH for my boy

Adventure Camp Tree House - 50% off on SAH for my daughter.

Just paid Lego Templar for a Yellow Submarine.  I'm sure he's swimming in dough at this point.

The only dough I will have after all this is a personal pizza from Pizza Hut lol...

I listed pieces on Bricklink last night for the first time and was surprised to see what people were listing these sets for there. As low as $3 for some of the Level Packs. Seems like a missed opportunity to at least pull out and list the more valuable pieces.

The LOTR torsos and legs are still not widely listed there and on wanted lists for those Bricklinking these.

All this dimensions... Almost like tulips in Holland

1600 here, 1500 sets there...

You can't really build a modular using homer torsos...
