Just out of spite buying the Lego Scooby packs off Amazon 20 at a time for around $9. The race to bottom is on. But in a couple months they will be back to where they were selling for a couple days ago.

So you are thinking it will get better later on and prices will go back up?

Wow. This might be one of the craziest deals I ever found. I just left Savers (a goodwill type store). Found a big bag of Legos marked $9.99. I had a 30% off coupon, so I paid $7. I wasn't sure what w

On my local Facebook page, for $45 57 of 61 sealed bags of what I assume are Taj Mahal pieces.

Bought 14 Gollum packs. I called this morning and they had Scooby's.......got there after work and they were all gone. I found 2 Gollums on the hangers. I asked the guy if he had any more in the back. He retrieved two full boxes for me. Now I know what it feels like to get sets sealed in a manufacturers box. It feels nice.......

Absolutely. I've sold over 100 above $25. It is a top seller it will take some time. I know if I saw this on shelf for $8 I would arm sweep. The lucky ones getting these for $1 and selling for $8 will make money but the smart ones will hold off.

You sold them around xmas time I'm assuming? I hope it goes up later on, but I'm just concerned that this isn't a one time thing and these will always be sold at the 99. The profit on these on eBay is really slim. Even trying to sell for $8 isn't much because of fees and shipping. By holding off and keeping them long term I'd be concerned too about remakes that come out in the future that would hurt sales.

This set is retired so won't be showing up anymore once they are gone that should be it. If it was a slow seller I would be worried but it will probably be #1 selling Dimension on Amazon if not already. Top 100

Is it possible these came from some where else? Like Best Buy or even Microsoft trying to liquidate? I could see Kohl's doing this, rather than directly from Lego. These things were sold everywhere.

Thanks to my wife again, she found another batch of 99 cent Lego Dimensions.  Here are 1 of each type found today, multiples of these are in bags.  I just need the Portal 2 pack now...

That looks like a great set to teach kids about the panama canal, I really want to get one for my local school for the STEM classes.

Did you order from ebay?

For people wondering what this set is, here is an "automated" version of the set with power functions, the boat even moves by magic..

No, somebody bought it for me in Panama city and brought it back to the Netherlands so I only paid national shipping costs.

I’ve picked up some Homer level packs for $4.5 and Portals for $6.5 shipped to the UK. (eBay GSP)
Not decided on Scooby.  I think the level packs are an easier sell over here.   Will see.

Some branches of Home Bargains have level packs for £1.99. I saw a few in Reading but, I can't be bothered to sell small items.

I saw some in Reading/Basingstoke. There were only about half a dozen at each left in a basket at the end of one of the aisles. It was a week ago before the current level of comments so I thought nothing of it at the time. If it was hundreds, then I would've browsed eBay ASAP and may have wiped them out and flipped as a job lot for 2x. There's also a B&M near me that I'll be going to at the weekend to stock up on tea, coffee & big roll - I'll take a look then and will post photos if I see anything. All the 99p stores in Reading appear to sell crap so I never go in them.

You do realize you don't have to sell them one by one right?

Cheers, I’ll have to have a look at my local B&M.  £2 on level packs, I’ll go all in.

I found a person who had Scooby for $6 and Portal for $6.50, free shipping. I bought some too, not sure why, tickle me silly.

Are you buying these for your personal collection or are you holding on to these for later?

I'm still testing the waters and seeing what sells best. I haven't found out which combo is best.

1x 42056 Porsche for £136 from John Lewis using a long-serving partner's discount. I'll be building this, not selling it.

My 1st case of Batman minifigs for $200. Feeling good about this whole theme investment wise. Can't wait to start loading up in the sets at a great discount of course.
