I made my very first strictly investment purchase... I got 4 of the Banks from Target at the discounted price and bogo and used the coupon. I also grabbed two of the dump trucks that were at clearance and also bogo 50% off... If they don't pan out then I will use as birthday gifts over the next few years for the nephew. (Don't tell them but their Birthday/Christmas gifts going forward will be my poor investment rejects :)

When ordering from Amazon, order one large item and you should be fine. I've had good experience with Amazon and even when sets came damaged, they returned and replaced sets with zero issues. The Super Star Destroyer is a wonderful set and $309 is a great price.

I ordered the Super Star Destroyer from Amazon and it came with a six inch rip on one flap on the box. It obviously happened before shipping, but no problem returning it!

Scored the King's Castle Siege 7094 for $104. Set isn't sealed but all the bags are. Very pleased.

Picked up the last 2 Lighthouse Islands at my local Lego store this past Saturday. I love this set and it looks to be just about EOL, hopefully it does well in the aftermarket. I'll probably build one and sell the other.

Series 2 Planet Set Twin-Pod Cloud Car/Bespin with Lobot $7.99 at Target. They had all the planet sets on sale, but nothing on clearance like the Target that is closer to my house, they had the Series 1 at the $4.97 price.

Picked up 6 of the MTT polybags, 2 Ninjago Hidden Sword polybags, and 2 Star Destroyer polybags from Walmart. They finally put them out for sale where I'm at.

I went to walmart today and found 2 black pearls for 69.00!!!! nice little profit.

Wow - can't top that. But did get 3 of 7877 from Target yesterday on clearance for $24.78 each.

Bought one each of 10143 and 10030 off BL for 20% of current BP Market Value. Neither had been removed from original LEGO box (until I asked about the seals). They take up a lot of space, but I think they are worth holding until next Christmas.

I kid you not. I found this previously Toys R Us only exclusive polybag at Target!

Target had a whole box of leftover MINIFIGURES from Series 7 and after a while of 'Zen Smooshing', I found the last two I needed to complete my Series 7 collection! Now I have two complete MINIFIGURES Series, 7 & 8!

Can I get a HELL YEAH!!!!

While I was at it, I also grabbed what few extras of some of the other Series 7 characters I could find (like the "Galaxy Patrol" and "Evil Knight" minifigs).

Phew. This surely has been an expensive year. I can hardly wait for the next one.
