Just like the title asks, what LEGO set did you buy today?

I bought the 4184 POTC Black Pearl.

Yes, he's selling and sells through a toy shop website and can charge a premium. He's not an undercutter by any means and makes top whack on most sets. I can't mention who it is but, he mostly sells retired sets. The SSDs and R2-D2s are not for sale until they reach at least £1000 and £400 respectively.

I used to also think it would be good if I just take all the info / tips / what to buy / what to avoid etc from this site and post nothing back. But I just can't, I've learnt so much and feel like I need to post some stuff which might help others.

Theres nothing wrong with say using a website and never replying back, but I think you gain alot more if it's a 2 way relationship. 

I'm very thankful for Brickpicker and don't mind posting deals / info as I know others will reciprocate.

I haven't got anything against the other lego forums, but I just feel more relaxed here and prefer to get all the latest news / set info from here rather than elsewhere as like the community.

The people that never post are always the first ones to complain when things go bad saying investing is dead or this site isn't what it was, yet they contribute nothing and just take take take.

This is exactly why I've always felt like there should be an annual get together. How fun would it be to meet everyone else in person, throw back a few, share some war stories, and give each other some friendly crap about some of the dogs we've poured money into? This is one of the friendliest and down to earth forums I've ever participated in, which is why I've been checking in at least once per day for the last several years.

Did anyone got the order from SAH cancel? i just tried to order, nothing special to get a 2nd globe and all got cancel....

Did your first order go through to "In Warehouse" status on the Order Status page yet? I've had successive orders cancelled if I try to place multiple orders still in the "Processing" phase.

iv'e had 2 orders shipped today both brought in quick succession so we will see if the globes turn up.

yes, just got an email saying that i had a previous order with a set that passed the limit of sets per household... (just a simple and plain set that i never figure that would be a problem... but it is... lol

I had an order cancelled but it was for my second winter train. Limit is one at present so they cancelled it.

I found 6 60118 Garbage Trucks at 50% and I got a Supergirl poly for free. Yay!

Found a 70901 TLBM Mr Freeze Ice Attack at Walmart, lonely on a shelf, no shelf markings, no other TLBM sets around. Correctly labeled yellow sticker on it saying $16.82 (basically 16% off). My cellphone was not in the mood (kept rebooting) so decided to just take it home.

I just ordered a new friends type super girl set for my daughter off the Lego site. I did not realize they were up on the site yet. There are a few others from the new Lego Batman movie and Moana on the site too

built this for my birthday and must say it is my favorite set i have built so far. looks great.

Just got into Lego as my son has now started to show interest, just trying to buy one for him to use and one to keep and maybe sell on

BTW... I bought 2x WALL-E just now from LEGO Shop at Home to (hopefully) get 9.16% back via Quidco and another snow globe. May repeat tomorrow and Monday.

I'd like to see some pictures of that stash.

It's truly mindblowing but, I wasn't allowed for obvious reasons. Not really a lot to see apart from thousands of plain factory boxes but, the labels say what's inside!

Like others also price matched at TRU and pulled the trigger on a minty UCS tie fighter referencing the 20% off deal at SAH. In my last order they had ran out of the usual gift cards and hence this could be used immediately. Hence total buy in of £115 and also got a free FO general poly and TRU figures and another £20 gift voucher.
