Just ordered an SC from Amazon with a gift card (birthday gift) for partial payment and Amazon Prime card (5% off) for the rest. This one is for a personal build. Ordered a Rey's Speeder set yesterday when Amazon price matched the TRU sale (but limited it to one per customers). I'll put that one in the resale stack since I have an aversion to all things The Force Awakens.

Found a First Order Snowspeeder for $19 at Walmart. Top shelf with no pricing anywhere. Looked on the App and it wasn't supposed to be there. 

Picked up 2 Birds at a local toy store. I think they are finally out of these as I grabbed 3 last week from them. I get 10% store credit on all purchases there so I will roll it into another purchase somewhere soon.

With the sudden scarcity of Bionicle sets everywhere (Target, WM - even my local toy store has fully liquidated them) I've gone on a little Bionicle shopping spree for my son. Not counting the 5 newly released Bionicles (71312-71316) we're now at 28 out of 30 - missing the Uniter of Fire and Creature of Fire. Today I bought:

A Toys R Us near me has had about 8 or 9 of the LOTR Pirate Ship Ambush 79008 for the last year just sitting there.  They dropped to 69.99 recently so I finally picked one up today just to have another pirate ship among the collection.  

The boxes were all beat up a little bit.  Not terribly, but nowhere near mint.  I picked out the best of the bunch, which still had a couple of creases and small dings.  Is it worth going back and picking up the rest if I can open up a credit card and get the 15% off on top? 

Isn't that just a case of working out if you can sell them for a worthwhile profit before you have to start paying charges on the credit card? Many would advise you not to do Lego 'investing' on credit in the first place though.

I just mean buying in at 69.99 less 15% off ($59.48 plus tax).  It's kind of a dud now but wondering if it has any chance in the future.

Yes but the shipping kills the deal, and my LEGO BAM store no longer stocks Bionicle. Ended up buying one from Amazon for $7 after a bit of GC money and with free Prime shipping.

Did complete the collection as I took the kids on a KMart liquidation sale run and bought the following after 40% off and a $7 SYWR coupon:

Bionicle Uniter of Fire - $10.24

Bionicle Kodak and Melum Unity pack - $10.24 (pricing mistake at Kmart, should have been $13.24 but they stickered this larger set with the Uniter set prices)

On the way back we hit a Meijer and I got 3 more Pegasus Sleighs for $16.33 each after a $5 off $50 coupon, plus a Friends Hot Air Balloon for $7.99 after a $4 reward coming from the Sleighs purchase as it triggered a $4 reward on $35 spent promotion. All 4 sets were already marked 40% off.

Rarely do I post haul pics, as I rarely have any hauls, but today I stopped at Walmart and perused the Toy Aisle and found these.  I have never bought a friends set before and have no idea what they go for,  but after searching amazon and ebays completed listings realized it was a pretty good buy.  Also checked brickset and realized these have been retired quite a while.  

Heartlake high for 25 and Olivias house for 35.  Not bad.

Today I went with a Hydra Smash-Dojo combo at TRU to pick up the free poly.

No more Dojos left (my first), but at least two more Smashes left. Though one box has a crease on it. That could be my part-out box.

Found this today. On sale for $25.

Ended up also buying today 9474 The Battle of Helm's Deep for $150.00 total shipped (and $7.95 in eBay bucks with the current promo).  Figure that's about as close to retail as I'll find it these days and doubt we'll ever see more LOTR sets in the near future.

Got these 2 from a thrift shop today-$50 NZ :-)

3 classic green baseplates and one SW rebel's battle pack all for $13 using rewards and points from Kmart.  Baseplates are on sale at Kmart for $6.39 a piece.  Also, popped into my nearest Meijer and they had a Marvel Starblaster Showdown 76019 magically appeared on the shelf clearanced to $14.99.  Not great for that but had a $5 reward to get it down to $9 to make myself feel better.

Found a random 41008 Heartlake City Pool with Dec 2012 seal codes at Walmart for $20. Bought it for my daughter.

Used the $15 code on EBay.  76052 - Classic Batcave w/ instructions and sticker sheet (no minifigures or vehicles) - $88

Picked up a sealed Battle at the Black Gate for retail + free shipping after eBay 15 off 75 promo.

 

Well.... To top my 25 Hearlake Highs and 35 dollar Olivia's House,

My local walmart had an Ultimate McQueen from 2011 today for 23.00, a Skipper Flight School for 11.00, and a 75019 AT-TE for 49.00.  They also had some castle, galaxy squad, Hobbit, and LOTR, and some other older sets, but nothing of value.  Looks like they are clearing out the 8 trailers they have sitting out back.

2 Ezra's Speeder Bikes 75090 for $38 with free shipping after the $15 code on eBay (along with a couple 10% discounted Starbucks gift cards to get me to the $75 threshold).  Not a great buy-in at $19 each, but I missed these and we wanted one to build with our other SW Rebels sets, which the kids are really into.
