Well... Feel free to string me up as I was responsible for clearing out all the 10240 R5 from Smyths Toys (54 in total) in my area as soon as I had the word on 26DEC that it was a dead duck. I've just sold one for £300 cash (best ever post EOL gain!)  within a day of EOL. I'm going all in on Slave 1 as that'll bite the dust next I think ;-)

FWIW (at your risk!)... I've just been told by 2 different people in the know that the Modular Pet Shop has now ceased production, I just ordered another 25 of them.

PS. The Palace Cinema is done too but, I couldn't get a good price on them.

 

 

 

3x Ecto-1 from shop at home - seal code 49R5.  used up some VIP points and a gift card.

came across 3x Ant-Man Final Battle's at target for $13.98 each .

the target i was at had all the Jurassic World sets (except of course RE) on the shelves.  

I'm thinking now maybe Ecto-1 isn't going till at least June now...

yeah - that's the general consensus.  i just hadn't bought gotten any in a few months and was behind schedule.  still going to buy another 10 in the next month to get to goal of 50.  Based upon its age, I can't fight the contrarian streak in me that screams this set is due to die.  I know I'm wrong .  It's ok.  This is a core conviction set for me.  I would be beside myself if I wasn't at goal when this goes.  This set is probably the most frequently OOS set at shop at home suggesting strong demand and boding well for post-EOL performance.

defo something wrong with me.  Out of all that the only thing that I'm thinking is ... "I didnt even know Smyths stocked R5" .

Also wondering what your source is for buying PS in bulk?

funny that you mention KEM - i was thinking the same thing.  OOS from everyone but shop at home.  limit 1.  seems like it must be a super-dud in terms of sales.  and i'm building it right now.

Got a 70727 Ninjago X-1 Ninja Charger... been calling to me... month after month... there on the shelf at Kmart. Priced $39.95.  Seeing prices on Amazon, I decided I had to go in and pick it up today. Found a $5 off $35 toy coupon, and then at checkout I lucked into $6 more in surprise points, so ended up $31 out-the-door.  What's most amazing, though, is that - for all that time on the shelf - the box is in really excellent condition.

Kwik-E-Mart going before the Simpson's House would be believable as the SH is more iconic but there's no way Fairground Mixer will outlive the Ferris Wheel. Everything points to FM being a worse seller than FW.

Smyths didn't stock R5. It was Argos who sold it and haven't had it in stock in the 20 stores available to me since November 2015. Perhaps there was a rouge "Smiths" toy store somewhere who were flogging them. Naughty Smiths.
