Ross is like a "not as organized" Kmart...
December 30, 20159 yr Ross is like a TJ Maxx or closeout store. Today has been crazy day as found nothing at big box stores but found Gunship at Ross and spent 400$ at grocery store chain that had all lego on 30% off. Including new star wars bBought 3 boxes of series 6 mixels for $3 each.

December 30, 20159 yr Did a twister hit that store or are The Three Stooges in charge of shelf stacking duties?

Restaurants get busy this time of year too but you don´t get your food served looking like someone stepped on it. I know store staff have a lot on their plates but come on. Here they hire temps with partial disabilities just to tidy up the displays nicely - it doesn´t take much to do things right. Edited December 30, 20159 yr by valenciaeric

December 30, 20159 yr 41112 Party Cakes for 3,99€ 75102 Poe's X-Wing Fighter for 55,99€ Prices were not spectacular but not too bad either.
December 30, 20159 yr Found these at Ross and left the ones that weren't marked down. 5x 70225 Bladvic's Rumble Bear $13.99 1x 70226 Mammoth's Frozen Stronghold $19.99 There was another 70225 with seals that looked like they had been lifted and reapplied. I left it.

December 31, 20159 yr Just bought a Tumbler from LEGO Shop at Home. My sweet wife allowed me to buy it and stash it to be opened later once I save up enough "allowance" money to pay for it. So pumped! In the meantime I get to admire the nice shiny box once it comes in!

In the meantime I get to admire the nice shiny box once it comes in! Rule #1: keep the wife happy. Trust me on this, even the most accepting, forgiving and permissive spouse will hit her breaking point sooner or later. For me it was when the top shelf of her closet somehow became lined with Imperial Star Destroyers. It has cost me thousands of dollars in Lululemon gifts just to be "allowed" to store my ISDs there. Seriously my wife is awesome, and she is ready to leave me over Legos. That's how out of control it gets...
December 31, 20159 yr Or just do like me and do whatever you want.........actually I don't recommend that route, it doesn't work for everyone

December 31, 20159 yr Second plot twist: I just don't give a damn what people say.....I just do what I want. Not the recommended course of action but it is what it is I guess.
December 31, 20159 yr It was my birthday today. So I went investment shopping! Craigslist: Sandcrawler RRP no tax UCS Tie RRP no tax Palace Cinema RRP no tax 7x Classic Pirate promo $55. Possibly a fail here, but figure they might be nice to combo with some other Pirates combos I'll be selling down the road. Tower of Orthanc $310. I have faith in this set in the long term, and figured the taxes I saved on the others can be lumped into paying the premium $40 over RRP+tax. I wanted more for the closet, hit my number with this one. Lego Store Oakridge: 2x Battle of 5 Armies $52.50+tax, left 2 2x Birds $48+tax, left 3 2x Witch King Battle $10.80+tax, left 10 or more 1x Detective's Office to build this evening. Edit: Damaged box* $200+tax +500 VIP points. Used $160 in VIP points at Lego Store. Also grabbed a Brick Bounty and Attack on Lake Town at Canadian Tire yesterday. Felt like a good birthday!
