What Lego set did you buy today?

Featured Replies

I just finished sorting & building a 15 lb lot I got from Goodwill.   4441 Police Dog Van, 4440 Forest Police, 3367 Space Shuttle, 3368 Space Center,

7208 Fire Station, 7287 Police Boat, 7641 City Corner, 7498 Police Station and 12 extra minifigs.  Most of the instructions were included and less than a dozen pieces were missing.  I paid way more than I normally would for used Lego but it was well worth the $96. :clapping:

Wow. This might be one of the craziest deals I ever found. I just left Savers (a goodwill type store). Found a big bag of Legos marked $9.99. I had a 30% off coupon, so I paid $7. I wasn't sure what w

I am sorry if this is obvious, but how does one view someone else's Brickfolio?

I actually don't know. I checked my settings and my Brickfolio is set to "public". Can anyone of the more experienced Brickpicker help us out with this?

From my current understanding, I don't think that there is a way to view someone else's Brickfolio.

There is a setting to make your Brickfolio public. If no one can view it, then what does that setting do?

Picked up the last 2 Stopwith's at the Lego Store in Orlando, FL.

Plus 2 Ghostbusters sets with the 10% off coupon.

I finally got a Robie House. It almost was a disaster though.

These are essentially almost gone now, but some B&****** still happen to have them, so two B&****** over an hour away from my place. So I called and reserved them, got some gift cards from cardpool, and even had an 30% off coupon that was almost expired anyway. So, combining this with a family trip I went for chance number one (I actually wanted to score both, as they happened to be close together). Both B&Ns warned be beforehand that the box condition isn't mint, but that can mean anything. Well, in the first store it meant "almost destroyed". After asking for a discount because of that I got the store manager dealing with it, which turned out not to be good. He wouldn't even offer 10%. Oh well I thought, with 30% and 19%, that's still a decent price. But then I started to read the small print on the coupon. You can imagine where this went. There was no way I could get the 30% off coupon working for this set. Since I didn't have any other coupon, and I had chance too still open, I respectfully declined. It would have been maybe $155 - good, but not great for a box in that shape.

Chance two was totally different. Box condition was not mint either, but much better. After asking for a discount and a call to the manager I easily got 10% off. Or say, I would have, if they would allow that to stack with the 30% off coupon - which apparently here they didn't. But they accepted the 30% off coupon without any problem whatsoever. So, in the end I got my Robie House, for about $111 out of the door. I would have liked the other too to sell it and offset the cost of the first even more, but I am still happy I got one for that price. And I found a Rockefeller Center. I didn't have a coupon, but with member discount and GC that's still ok, for $33.

Oh man I just got my greatest score yet, I got a used but like new darth vaders tie advanced fighter (10175) for $90 shipped off of eBay and it has a near mint box the instructions and everything so it was a hell of a deal

went to west hartford lego store to buy a:

Maersk ship, GE, T1, SC, HH, or DS.  They were out of all of these.

Ended up getting 6 Ecto1s which were all the ecto's they had left.

4 weeks ago there were like 150 in a large display.

now there were 6 left on a small shelf near the modulars.

Had to get managers permission to sell 6 to  me.  off vip of course.

Ecto1's will be available for a long time so I don't see what the rush is.  I found them at TRU the other day.

Wow, nice score. Badly-worded listing or just a seller who had no idea what it was?

Idk I would lean towards he doesn't know the full value, he's actually very nice and the listing had a bunch of pictures and a decent description. He also had a slave 1 in the same condition for $50 plus shipping and a UCS at-st for $80 plus shipping. But man I'm still extremely excited about it since that's my best score yet haha

Just bought a Sopwith Camel with my VIP points and got the new Retro Space minifigure and Frax Phoenix Flyer promos

My first purchase in a while..... A 10241 Maersk 3E with Spaceman promo, I told them to leave that Chima rubbish out of the box!

I put in a bid for that used complete Grand Carousal with box that sold for $1,325 earlier today. No, I wouldn't allow myself to win that auction. I really want that set.

I'm Bricklinking it.  I just can't bring myself to spend that kind of money on it.  I'll just have to do something else for the sails and the sound brick.

kings castle, and a mixel, we mentioned that we thought the castle was being retired this year to the clerk, he replied: Im glad you know that case we arent suppose to tell anyone...

Scored all this off Craigslist for $75 today. Haven't checked to make sure all pieces are there but it seems like solid deal even missing a bunch.

Soccer: 3403, 3408, 3409, 3411

Rock raiders: 4990, 4980, 4950, 4970, 4940

Technic Robo Riders: 8509, 8510, 8511, 8512, 8513, 8514

Random others: 8252, 5956, 6454, 8238, 7130

Plus a few pirates/islanders without instructions. What's the best way to identify sets with no instructions?
