I redeemed my first $5 from VIP points, woohoo! I was very surprised they were stacking promos. They ran out of the VW camper poly though........ :'(

 

Also while I was in line, some guy at the till who was buying Jabba's sail barge declined the Lego Retail Store set! What?!

Nope - I went to look for that one but it was already gone. I got this one of Ebay - no box.

 

At $90, I can make $20 parting it out pretty easy. Gunship has got a good collection of figs. Great price for that set.

went to walmart a few days ago and found a captain america cycle for retail on the shelf, and found a single unexpected gathering in the clearance aisle for $17! that was really my first find at walmart at more than the normal 30%, pretty pumped about it.

What do you think about the Droid Escape for 13.00? I've only grabbed a couple at that price, seen more but wasn't sure about its success chances. Good minifigs though, those sand stormtroopers are cool and will probably be in demand if nothing else.

Thanks Josh. $13 is the most I would pay for it. The stormtroopers will carry the set. Now I have 2 of these (1 for my son already opened).

If sealed, that is a NICE price. Just have to hold into it maybe 1 year longer. If lego doesn't make sets for the next movie, I see even better gains. :)

I was able to get a Target to price-match to a Walmart with 'unlocatable stock' for the Wolverine set, and used my red card on all of them.

This will only be my 2nd one.  I really want to build one, though.  I got the last one during Walmart's sale last fall, so both of them will be below retail, but I really think this one will take off when it's gone, R2-D2 is just too iconic not to I think.
