What Lego set did you buy today?

Featured Replies

I was "today-years-old" when I learned one could spend almost $700 between 2 Big Lots.  And I even left a ton of 4+ Friends and 4+ City sets.

Wow. This might be one of the craziest deals I ever found. I just left Savers (a goodwill type store). Found a big bag of Legos marked $9.99. I had a 30% off coupon, so I paid $7. I wasn't sure what w

4+ used to be big money when it was branded as Juniors with the red box.

I ended up spending about $400 between 3 Big Lots...the first one was disappointing, but the last two delivered, even when starting out 3 hours after store opening.

Did the Big Lots you hit show sets available on their site before you went that way?

Same as exciter, sort of. I checked one, the inventory looked ok and the first store was worse than it showed. Second seemed better than it showed, but I didn't look online closely.

I hate those of you who cleared out the stores around my area. Waked up too late and left some stores empty handed.

That being said, don't hate me if you hit the two stores I cleared. $1000+ in total.

I hit about 10+ stores.  First one I walked into I found some common sets sitting on the front shelf.  Grabbed them and then heard another at the register talking about the collectibility of all the sets.  Look over and he has all the Speed Champions, Mando's and Star Wars sets sitting on the counter.  Hate missing it by that much.

Next store had nothing and so I was thinking I would just call it off and just hit the one by my work.  Mid-route I change my mind and decide to just continue with my previous course of action.  Boom, every store for the most part was $250 - $750 from then on.  The people working at Big Lots were the nicest people too -- was a pleasant surprise.

Wish I had known and got up early because it got so annoying when everyone in my family started texting me wondering where I was in the late afternoon.  There were some stores that had lego piles set aside for online orders but I just hit the road myself.

There was actually a lot of stuff that looked flippable but I didn't have the time to deal with it.  Only bad thing is I'm really not looking forward to peeling all those price stickers off.  Its going to take half a day . . . 😂

I can't believe some of your stores had anywhere close the $1,000 worth of sets.
Mine had about $25 worth (like 3 sets) and I left them. Ordered 1 X-wing for pickup, got the "order's ready" email and they couldn't find where they put it. 😐

I went to go a brick and mortar B&N today. Ended up getting 76387 Fluffy's Encounter ($36) and 76388 Hogsmeade Village ($72). They ended up giving me two 30628 Monster Books since I spent $100 so fairly profitable I'd say.

Kids went on a road trip with me, hit 3 BN for 9x MBOM. Picked up 8 Indominus Rex vs. Ankylosaurus 75941 at the last Target in the area with any stock and they price matched the $85 out of stock Walmart price. Got some other errands done and to-go favorite out of town pizza. Priceless!

Lego Creator Roller Coaster in store. Finally just felt the FOMO and seeing Sold Out online pushed me in-store to snag one.

I THINK this was my first LEGO purchase for myself as an adult! Had noticed and bought the castle (7094 Kings Castle Siege) discounted for my son and wanted knights for myself.

It was either this or an Exo-Force set. Not 100% certain

How much did you have to pay for it if you don't mind?

I paid close to 70usd shipping included from Denmark to Switzerland off bricklink. It was priced somewhat lower than other new sets, there isn't any more at this price point unfortunately.

My son offered to buy it from me as he wants the Knights. 😝
