Most current resale prices for the Imperial Hotel are below RRP for a set that retired well before the White House and Trevi Fountain did (which are both doing well already). I would personally avoid it but, it's a nice set to build and display. I thought it would sell out fast but, obviously it's not as well liked as I thought. However, things can change but, my instinct says it's a turkey. I have one built and won't be buying more.

Will part these out. See where that gets me. Seems like an easy way to make a SuperGirl minifigure. If it doesn't pan out - Target has a nice return policy with redcard.

 

Was in my local Lego store and they had two Trevis left on the shelf, so I bought them both. Sold two last week for £65 each so didn't mind paying RRP. Plus double points and the lovely girl behind the till gave me two snowglobes and a calender, how festive of her!! [emoji16]

No one ever replied to me but I pulled the trigger. He was able to find the instructions so it was 100% complete with box for 165 via offer up.

Couldn't find it cheaper than 200 used so I guess I did ok. Wasn't actively looking for it but it's a nice set .

I found five of them last week and bought them all. My 10% member discount and discounted gift cards helped to keep the buy-in around $27 each. I have been buying all of the LM, White House, and Trevi Fountains that I can when I see them.

No offense taken at all. We all identify our priorities here. I'm going "big" for me on these newly retired architecture sets, but big for me is still less than 10 of each. I've already sold a few WH at $79 plus shipping, and I'm happy about that. If I can get $99 each after a year or so, that will hit my objective. The LM has even less risk since the buy-in is much less than WH or TF.

Yeah, they had the better part of a pallet somehow.

Sadly, my wife was the one there and texted me about them, so I had to moderate things. I may go back tomorrow by myself and pick up whatever's left.

They had the Prison Island for 49 on Sunday.  I wonder if they marked that down further.  Now, I'm curious.
