Retiring Soon - open speculation

To continue an earlier thread, here are the sets listed on S@H as "Retiring Soon":

Friends - Stephanie's Cool Convertible, Olivia's Speedboat, Mia's Bedroom, Series 1 foil packs

Duplo - Train Starter Set, Doctor's Clinic, Emergency Helicopter

Creator - Apple Tree House

Lego Games - Ninjago, Pirate Plank

Chima Speedorz - CHI Battles, Ring of Fire, Target Practice, CHI Waterfall

Technic - Mini Container Truck

LOTR - Gandalf Arrives, Orc Forge

CMF - Series 9

Architecture - Sugnyemun

Marvel Super Heroes - Captain America's Avenging Cycle

Star Wars - Endor Rebel Trooper and Imperial Trooper Battle Pack, Planet Bespin & Twin Cloud Car, Planet Endor & AT-ST

Nothing earth-shattering.  Orc Forge surprises me the most.

  • Here you go. Are likes important? ^^ Anyway, I find it interesting that the City Vulcan sets are also seem to be done. They are from last year, so they are not really that old. Did a pretty good

  • I'm feeling generous and seems Cladner and Val-E are working to hard at this,  might as well simplify their jobs for the holidays.  Plus some of these need to disappear quicker... 10815

  • Chris, I think you're coming in at a time where the LEGO reselling party is coming to an end. I'm not saying there is no more money to be made; what I'm saying is that the ship is full and the general

I should probably get me one in a DHL garbage bag for that price. Whats the code to get it there?

I keep hearing about the DHL bag.  I just placed my 27th order with Zavvi.  I've ordered as big as the Disney Castle and as small as Dom's Charger.  I've yet to receive a set that wasn't boxed.  A shipping thing that *does* irritated me about Zavvi is them creating boxes out of two box halves.  Their homemade boxes doesn't have near the structural strength of a solid box.  but so far, I've been lucky.  I received my first crushed set last week, a very crushed Cement Mixer.  Otherwise, many, many sets in perfect shape.

I only kid. I’ve placed exactly one order from Zavvi when they had a sweet deal on the liebherr excavator. It came in its brown LEGO shipper. Just a few minor dings. I’d give them another shot if they ran something I was interested in. My only caution is the complaints I see about contacting customer service for a resolution.  I can quickly contact Amazon, Target or Wally World with a problem. And often times we can come to a resolution.

Did get my first order from Zavvi yesterday via DHL, overall it was in perfect condition and well packaged.  I do wonder if allot has to do with DHL, I've had some back luck with them over the years and varies from driver to driver..

All the Jurassic World sets I bought on clearance in the spring are selling like hot cakes now. I raise the price $20 after each sale and they keep flying.

Big update to Retiring Soon list on UK LEGO website! 71 sets now, were only 4 yesterday.

Includes: Tree House 21318, Droid Commander 75253, Rough Terrain Crane 42082, Car Transporter 42098, Harry Potter 75965 and 75958, Batmobile: Pursuit of Joker 76119

I just closed my listing for treehouse. 😁 Now I don't feel so bad at those that I have.

Wooow, that doesn't make any sense at all.

@marcandreI'm praying for us. Maybe they changed their mind.

It was listed as being available only in April 21. Maybe lego realised its not cost effective to restart the moulds for just this item and that its better to just let it go.

I'm guessing it's just an error honestly. Don't get your hopes up.

What's the chances that websites listing th as not retiring is not correct vs lego website is incorrect. I'd take my chances with the lego page and delist my stuff rather than clear it prematurely.

Delist it. No question. But the website is not trustworthy. I just talked to costumer service, she said the set will be available through 2021.

It’s the new Lego strategy,

it’s retiring it’s retiring.

Oh people missed out.

Another year for Timmy.

Back ordered until April 2021 😂😂😂😂 Lego now take permanent back orders.

Hi,

here in Germany the "retiring soon" button has been removed already after being shown this morning - so it seems as it was a mistake! 🙄

unbelievable - just checked the website again and now the button is back !!!

Wtf are they doing with the Treehouse?

I don’t. I was just commenting that I found the translator on my mobile. 😂 sorry for going off topic.
