That is the same question we are going to ask when the Death Star retires.

What's the story on 21104, 1st LEGO LEGO Shop at Home has it at "Temp Out Of Stock, more in March", now it states "SOLD OUT" yet UK has some.

I've said it before, they won't be retiring it.  If they were, I think they would have retired it today with the whole batch of sets too.

I think it's gonna return as well, I was simply pointing out its survival.

Does anyone recall how often they retire sets?  Today was obviously done in a large batch, but does history show that it will be many more months before we see another one?  Or could it happen again next week, for example?  Or tomorrow?

...and I wonder if they will just keep making the Live Star indefinitely since there are more Star Wars movies coming out.  Even though they are all new movies, the Death Star is a pretty iconic piece of Star Wars lore, and the interest for it will likely be renewed with the arrival of the new movies.

Yep.  Still just says "Sold Out."  Doesn't mean anything though.  Look at the Two-Face Chase or Gandalf Arrives.  Those have been gone forever, and they didn't get "retired" today.  We all know they are retired though.

The DS will retired, everything retires.

I predict this beast will just fall off to the retired page, no warnings of any kind.

I am super excited about today's retirements!  There are 14 sets on that list that I have in mid to high quantities.  And this is on the same day that I bought 5 Lone Ranger Trains, 11 Doc Ock Ambushes, and 8 Attack of the Wargs.  When I bought this stuff, I didn't even know it was retired! 

 

I am not bragging here.  I am just very enthusiastic!  YAY!!!

Just saw on Legos website that the funhouse now says retired. I was lucky to grab 3 of these at tru for 19.99 . I made them match the legoshop price lol. The prices are gonna sky rocket on this set I believe
