or a cryogenic freezing chamber. It´s even outlived Power functions pack so I think it is now the oldest sell still in production.

Good thing I never picked up a single 10220. Went !quite! deep on 2 sets on that list, I pray and hope TLG doesn't f this one up.

There should be some sort of prize for the reseller with the most years active and the least T1´s hoarded. The ones who sold when supply was tight a few years ago dodged a bullet.

10 years under my belt and somewhere around 4 million lego sold. Never bought a single camper van. Never really saw a deal I liked on it.

Sounds about right to me. I’ve sold enough to stay afloat. The rest is for retirement.

Agreed - I don't see it getting to $100, but it's been one of the top-selling sets on Amazon since its release and I can't imagine it won't stay popular after it retires.

I know it came back in stock after for a while, with a version that was retired. Now it is showing sold out. Lego is playing some games.

Agreed. It was climbing nicely even despite all the comments about it being hoarded, etc. Then, Amazon got a ton of stock in and is selling at $159.99 and that definitely slammed the brakes on the price appreciation...

Its like the smell you can never get rid of. Saturn V smells like lavender in comparison 

I wonder what happens if it ACTUALLY retires one day...

Maybe LEGO is trying to produce their version of the T1 for the same length of production as VW.  (16 years)
