Retiring Soon - open speculation

To continue an earlier thread, here are the sets listed on S@H as "Retiring Soon":

Friends - Stephanie's Cool Convertible, Olivia's Speedboat, Mia's Bedroom, Series 1 foil packs

Duplo - Train Starter Set, Doctor's Clinic, Emergency Helicopter

Creator - Apple Tree House

Lego Games - Ninjago, Pirate Plank

Chima Speedorz - CHI Battles, Ring of Fire, Target Practice, CHI Waterfall

Technic - Mini Container Truck

LOTR - Gandalf Arrives, Orc Forge

CMF - Series 9

Architecture - Sugnyemun

Marvel Super Heroes - Captain America's Avenging Cycle

Star Wars - Endor Rebel Trooper and Imperial Trooper Battle Pack, Planet Bespin & Twin Cloud Car, Planet Endor & AT-ST

Nothing earth-shattering.  Orc Forge surprises me the most.

  • Here you go. Are likes important? ^^ Anyway, I find it interesting that the City Vulcan sets are also seem to be done. They are from last year, so they are not really that old. Did a pretty good

  • I'm feeling generous and seems Cladner and Val-E are working to hard at this,  might as well simplify their jobs for the holidays.  Plus some of these need to disappear quicker... 10815

  • Chris, I think you're coming in at a time where the LEGO reselling party is coming to an end. I'm not saying there is no more money to be made; what I'm saying is that the ship is full and the general

Tagged in the UK too. I'm hoping for >50% off before I go all in. Shame it's done as I thought it was a great theme.

Never paid attention to the theme.  I will now.

Exactly, I've bought the entire theme for my daughters and they love it. On the plus side, I have no more new Elves sets to buy for them :)

I guess this is the way I feel about Bionicle and my son.  We loved the theme and there is nothing to replace it with.

Too many Joker Steamrollers = early grave.

Guess the hunt is officially on for Elves sets. This theme has had tremendous growth and don’t see why the last sets they have out won’t do as good also.

Jet.com, Target and Amazon all have sets for 30%+ off right now.

Is the The Joker Manor 70922 done? It seems so early for it to retire.

It is listed as RETIRING SOON on LEGO S@H.  It's a goner.  It in now only 3rd party sellers on Amazon.

Wish I could have grabbed some when they were on sale, really cool set.

Still “Hard to Find” on SAH Canada.

If only someone would of warned us during summer...

that was the first reference of train staying and station going as well,  not to be confused with the other 100 times it was asked...

brick bank and joker manor too,  just a little snippet of a bigger riddle to come...

We'll see, they produced an insane number of these sets. Many being 40% off through much of peak buying season and none wavered OOS.

Yeah, it´s not much of a hunt since Dragon Sanctuary. Elves will be around till the post Xmas clearance sales.

That’s when I plan to pounce. All in if Elves >50% off.

ship in a bottle staying around ?

The theme has winners and less-winners.

But I'm not worried about pre-EOL sales velocity for the likely winners. The theme's historically had perpetual discounts like a lot of LEGO smalls. Queen Dragon's Rescue, Fire Dragon's Lava Cave, and Water Dragon Adventure lingered on shelves even at 50% off. Their secondary market hasn't suffered for it.

you had that today at Argos.

I've just noticed that 42076 Hovercraft has just been tagged. I'm fairly sure this is new.

Nope I think it has always been that way. New stuff are SW figures, Elves, TLBM and a few other random nick nacks from City and Juniors. Brickheadz are the elephants in the room - maybe even TLG don´t know what to do with them.

Not according to page 591 of this thread.

Yah but Slave wasn´t in the first wave either. Anyway, the Hovercraft is a complete subprime that has been on perma discount at Amazon so I´d not worry too much about it.

Only 1 set available near me, 0 for delivery.
