I pulled trigger at right time and bought few 10249s, they sold out early.

Poe’s X wing hasn’t retired so far along with couple of others I thought would have gone (31052).

Im disappointed at current Lego sale, only 10% off SW sets and thought 75098 price would have dropped earlier?

 

10249 is retired in Europe and Sold Out pending retired tag in US. A nice steady winner that will never be remade, right?

I consider it extremely unlikely that 10249 will be remade another time again after it was already a remake from 10199.

Of the entire Winter Village subtheme, I think 10249 is probably the safest set from the remake threat!

I refuse to believe that UCS Tie Fighter will not make just one, another "miraculous" appearance..  look at the Technic Xerion Tractor..  Tie Fighter is retired for like 2-3 weeks and then comes back available 

21123 Iron Golem may not be done after all. Still available in US and EU, not tagged or marked down.

EU SAH sale has gone rather well with just 61 sets still available.

By themes, Brickheadz are killng it with all 12 on-sale sets still available.

Nexo is a distant second with 8. Those 2 themes are pretty toxic at less than 60% off.

Best results from Architecture, Speed Champions, Technic and Minecraft whose tagged sets are now all done. Ninjago also had a whole heap of sets retiring and just the one left.

ahh.. damned.. I thought I got it figured out.. umm.. So I take the bet: I think it will be either that Nexo powers set (or other Nexo gears) or Ninjago minifigs - before your Finn Figure.. And to make it a liiiiitttle bit more interesting, I put into "the bank" sealed SW microfighter 75160 or 75128 (both a little battered on one of the edges).. + free shipping around Europe ..  

Too bad 853443 - VIP Cardboard Name Plate doesn't count anymore, since it's been on 50% discount already for ages and apparently nobody is even remotely interested in it!

I would say that being at 50 pct off before the "betting game" started - disqualified it from the very beginning

A little off-topic, but does anyone else concur that Lego have significantly cut production back during H2? 

Waiting for 50% discounts was the way to go in summer and autumn, and it often paid off. If production has become leaner, then surely the discounts will become rarer.

Maybe 25 to 35% discounts will be new buy-in triggers. Maybe sets will disappear in 2018 without any discount at all. I wasn't here a year ago, so I don't know how the current market compares to 12 months ago. For me, it seems unusual that not one retailer has offered a 50% discount over Christmas, apart from one Friends lightning deal.

"Cleaning up inventories" is never a good sign for any company.

We´ll know in March when the next results are out if sales have been better or they have made less. TBH 2016 was an outlier and in previous years the sales achieved their objective quickly, like this year. I think a lot of the slack has been takenup by TRU and the like who did their flash sales to move Escort Girls and Nexo.
