Sorry if already mentioned, but I just received the Lego store catalog for 2017 and there's no UCS Tie Fighter. Perhaps it just didn't make the cut....

No Shield sets

Yes, Mini still in there

...keeping in mine this is only the 55 page consumer catalog...there's probably many missing sets.

Mini is there, no Simpsons, no Shield (at least, in the US version). MF still features. Ecto 1&2 next to GBHQ.

Of note, there's no VW van and no Tower Bridge.

Edit: Probably no need to advertise them since they've been around since 2011ish.

I'd be very surprised to we the Ferris Wheel go so soon. Slow seller?

Remember, the FW and Tower Bridge did go on Black Friday sale at the UK LEGO Shop at Home...perhaps a hint of retirement.

As per German catalogue TFA stuff is still there.

The catalog is not a good gauge to determine retirements. It's been proven time and time again. The SSD had a massive two page spread when it was sold out at LEGO Shop at Home and everywhere else. VW and TB has been missing from many issues but live on in perpetuity.  

True. However they are all strong candidate to be done by this time next year, if not sooner.

Amazed the Simpsons are still going.

Down to the last 29 retiring soon sets at EU SAH. Friends is done, it´s basically a Ninjago v Duplo v Nexo slugfest.

Only real set that will be gone from this list is the Simpsons. I can't see Shield disappearing after a year. That Tie Fighter will be around forever. Stay tuned.

All of these will stay at least until Fall/Winter 2017, with the possible exception of the Simpsons sets.

Has anyone bought USC Tie Fighter at a discount, if so how much was the lowest? Haven't seen one in such a long time honestly.

 I believe 50 USD was the lowest and about 100 over in Europe.

TLG and The Simpsons have a very strong relationship (i.e. Fox bent them over lol). Not surprised to see the theme continuing.

It has been almost exclusively available at a discount ... 40$ thing was a fluke . IIRC ~130$ would be the lowest

A google search for that yielded some very Disturbing images and by disturbing I mean take a look  

Thanks to this site, I nabbed a UCS TIE off Amazon for ~$100 a few months back.  As I recall, it was the standard $140 price + coupon of some sort.

UCS Tie retiring would be a gift, but thousands have been bought at 20-40% off.
