"Sir, sales for sets with a retiring soon tag have increased by 100%! I know, let's put a retiring soon tag on every set!"

Here's the Star Wars list in no particular order (doesn't include buildable figures):

  • Imperial Assault Carrier
  • Vader’s TIE Advanced vs. A-Wing Starfighter
  • Resistance Troop Transporter
  • Rebel Alliance Battle Pack
  • Galactic Empire Battle Pack
  • Obi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor
  • Droid Escape Pod
  • Hoth Attack
  • The Ghost (micro)
  • AT-DP (micro)
  • Sith Infiltrator
  • Imperial Shuttle Tydirium
  • First Order Transporter
  • Death Star Final Duel
  • Naboo Starfighter
  • Battle Droid Troop Carrier
  • TIE Advanced Prototype
  • First Order Snowspeeder
  • Flash Speeder
  • Hailfire Droid
  • Imperial Troop Transport
  • Shadow Troopers
  • Senate Commando Troopers
  • Geonesis Troopers
  • Snowspeeder (micro)
  • AT-AT (micro)
  • Anakin’s Custom Jedi Starfighter

Notable absentees:

  • Rey's Speeder
  • Resistance X-Wing Fighter
  • Poe's X-Wing Fighter
  • First Order Special Forces TIE fighter
  • Millennium Falcon
  • Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle
  • Carbon-Freezing Chamber
  • Kanan's Speeder Bike
  • Resistance X-Wing Fighter (micro)
  • First Order Snowspeeder (micro)
  • TIE Advanced Prototype (micro)
  • Wookiee Gunship (micro)

What can I say?

Makes no sense to only retire half of a Microfighter series, list must be slow sellers or sets that they have too much stock

  • Here you go. Are likes important? ^^ Anyway, I find it interesting that the City Vulcan sets are also seem to be done. They are from last year, so they are not really that old. Did a pretty good

  • I'm feeling generous and seems Cladner and Val-E are working to hard at this,  might as well simplify their jobs for the holidays.  Plus some of these need to disappear quicker... 10815

  • Chris, I think you're coming in at a time where the LEGO reselling party is coming to an end. I'm not saying there is no more money to be made; what I'm saying is that the ship is full and the general

They did that with microfighters last year.  Left series 2 at-at and snowspeeder going and retired rest.  iirc there's only 4 new ones coming at the start of the year.

The tagged list is ever growing and it'll be interesting to see how long the Scooby Doo sets will last. My "Dark Horse" set is in that list and I hope it's gone soon ;-)

Well it´s not been a great week for Democrats or Nexo Knight fans. Practically the whole range is being start and parked. Wow.

what news did I miss about the nexo knights...

Indeed. They are marketed in pairs. You have Ghost+ AT-DP, Wookie + TIE, X-Wing + FO Snowspeeder (plus the Snowspeeder + AT-AT from last year).

My money was on either the Ghost + AT-DP or X-Wing + Snowspeeder staying around.

Similar with the buildables.  Keeping Vader around makes sense but i would have thought Grievous was the best seller there and why not keep luke to boot.

Would be interesting to have a secret poll (so as not to give away everyone's top pick) of which set people think will do the best by end of March 2017 (and release the picks then) :)

T1 absent from all this and surprised by some other absences.  They might not be done yet.

negative unless you are referring to the 1st run, I seen they have a new line of winter sets coming out...

Any series where the whole 1st half year range is retired the same year is doomed.

I'd venture massive overproduction schedule of nearly every theme's range has been given a boot in its deluded rear end with subsequent sales not living up to the pie-in-the-sky forecasted sales charts in deluded Bilund exec's plush office spaces.

The delusion of too big to fail even extending as far as victimizing customers suspected of being reselling felons.

Could we be seeing the ramping down of the range of each theme's sets for the future?

Well I must say that this is exactly the same sentiments I have been thinking lately. In an odd way relating to Star Wars, maybe Disney is putting the foot down on 2 year availability on these sets in favour of  renewal and not letting sets languish on the shelves? Thoughts!

Lol now 278 sets are retiring soon. They might aswell announce all of lego is retiring soon

298 now tagged in the UK. Hopefully no seals newer than 45S6 but, what's the odds that we'll eventually see seal code 01S7 on some of them?

If so...

Don't worry, there's still 234,876,567,345 different sets available across 33,567,567 themes.
