Retiring Soon - open speculation

To continue an earlier thread, here are the sets listed on S@H as "Retiring Soon":

Friends - Stephanie's Cool Convertible, Olivia's Speedboat, Mia's Bedroom, Series 1 foil packs

Duplo - Train Starter Set, Doctor's Clinic, Emergency Helicopter

Creator - Apple Tree House

Lego Games - Ninjago, Pirate Plank

Chima Speedorz - CHI Battles, Ring of Fire, Target Practice, CHI Waterfall

Technic - Mini Container Truck

LOTR - Gandalf Arrives, Orc Forge

CMF - Series 9

Architecture - Sugnyemun

Marvel Super Heroes - Captain America's Avenging Cycle

Star Wars - Endor Rebel Trooper and Imperial Trooper Battle Pack, Planet Bespin & Twin Cloud Car, Planet Endor & AT-ST

Nothing earth-shattering.  Orc Forge surprises me the most.

  • Here you go. Are likes important? ^^ Anyway, I find it interesting that the City Vulcan sets are also seem to be done. They are from last year, so they are not really that old. Did a pretty good

  • I'm feeling generous and seems Cladner and Val-E are working to hard at this,  might as well simplify their jobs for the holidays.  Plus some of these need to disappear quicker... 10815

  • Chris, I think you're coming in at a time where the LEGO reselling party is coming to an end. I'm not saying there is no more money to be made; what I'm saying is that the ship is full and the general

Not everyone has had same education...

This isn't some higher level English class that only a few people have access to.

just

Oh yeah, my Dad can beat up your Dad.  I know Lego is meant for Kids but seriously what does this banter have to do with a set retiring?

I hope Sopwith and T1 are done by summer!

I normally don't correct grammar in forums like that, but I chuckled to myself that the wrong spelling was used when calling someone out as dumb.  Just some friendly banter.

I keep waiting for the Pre-Vizla set to be marked down to $12.98 on S@H.

That might be one of the "wee hours of awesomeness" deals on SAH 15 minutes before midnight just before May 4th.

And it would be funny if they put Umbaran MHC on same sale as well  :-)

Mandelbaum, Mandelbaum, Mandelbaum!

voice text is so dumb. But it prevents me from crashing my car.

Couldn't resist, autocorrect didn't catch that one. :o

Wait, isn't using a phone while operating a vehicle against the law? :P

hands free is not against the law in many places

It's all in fun. I appreciate friendly banter amongst regular posters. Its better then daily question of insert 1 of three sets retiring *** speculation that gets asked daily. I got 20 bucks that says one question that was asked to day will be asked tomorrow which will then prompt 20 responses from people who are nicer than me. Just a speculation. It may or may not come true. Let's debate it. :)

Being dumb has nothing to do with intelligence. I failed algebra like three times in high school and my spelling *** is garbage. Yet I was on dean's list in college and would put my business smarts and street smart against anyone. People have 4.0 gpas all the time and are dumber then a box of rocks.

Yes, many things are against the law. I break many laws too. Many are silly. I cut my grass on Sunday and have been known to carry ice cream in my back pocket while in Kentucky.

You are basically saying there are different types of intelligence. Ok.

No. I'm saying I should be in jail for carrying ice cream in my back pocket. Pay attention. It's against the law.

Brickshow is saying the SSD is retiring. Not sure what info gives them the confidence to say it but they are.

They saw the graffiti on the rail car

A LEGO store employee told them ;)

Jupiter crosses Saturn and a red sun has risen. Also they cut up a chicken and its bowels aligned to form the word: SSD.

Well since brickshow said it and they heard it from a lego store employee it must true true true. Lol 2 of the most unreliable sources.

FYI guys, from inside Lego itself:

2-9 key chains May possibly be retiring in the next few days to years. I am 100% sure this is possibly 75% true.

BUY BUY BUY.

They probably read it on here.  :shifty:

Plenty to be had at my local LEGO store. Was eyeing them up today for double VIP but with limited funds I went with a Sopwith and T1 Camper instead.

Good choice with those! Great sets that will do well. Will be interesting to see how WVM performs in comparison.

Just imagine how dumb it would be of LEGO Corp to let low levels employees know when a set is going to retire. There is no way Lego is giving any important retirement info to a B&M employee.

sometimes I like keychains lol!!!! the TMNT ones are cool, (from 1st round) same w/ monster fighters vampire and ghost

I heard that you can't put it on the Internet if it isn't true..... I heard this on the Internet.
