Retiring Soon - open speculation

To continue an earlier thread, here are the sets listed on S@H as "Retiring Soon":

Friends - Stephanie's Cool Convertible, Olivia's Speedboat, Mia's Bedroom, Series 1 foil packs

Duplo - Train Starter Set, Doctor's Clinic, Emergency Helicopter

Creator - Apple Tree House

Lego Games - Ninjago, Pirate Plank

Chima Speedorz - CHI Battles, Ring of Fire, Target Practice, CHI Waterfall

Technic - Mini Container Truck

LOTR - Gandalf Arrives, Orc Forge

CMF - Series 9

Architecture - Sugnyemun

Marvel Super Heroes - Captain America's Avenging Cycle

Star Wars - Endor Rebel Trooper and Imperial Trooper Battle Pack, Planet Bespin & Twin Cloud Car, Planet Endor & AT-ST

Nothing earth-shattering.  Orc Forge surprises me the most.

  • Here you go. Are likes important? ^^ Anyway, I find it interesting that the City Vulcan sets are also seem to be done. They are from last year, so they are not really that old. Did a pretty good

  • I'm feeling generous and seems Cladner and Val-E are working to hard at this,  might as well simplify their jobs for the holidays.  Plus some of these need to disappear quicker... 10815

  • Chris, I think you're coming in at a time where the LEGO reselling party is coming to an end. I'm not saying there is no more money to be made; what I'm saying is that the ship is full and the general

Check your WM app for markdowns, they made it as low as $10 around here.

They still have like 4 for $50 at my store but I wish they $10 :)

Interesting thing I just noticed: Pre Visla's Mandalorian is the only "retiring soon" tagged set still available besides a $4 or $5 thing. A lot of retiring soon sets get discounted so might want to keep an eye out for a deep discount on this one. One member found them for $12 at his LEGO store.

If that happens,  Pre Visla's Mandalorian shall be code-named "Mandalorian Hearse" (easier to spell)

Just checked: SSD 999+ still. This still has a little time. :)

EDIT:Amazon

Pre Visla has been about $12.48 in LEGO stores for over a month, I've probably picked up around 20 at that price. Most stores just don't have them anymore. All LEGO stores have the same pricing so if there's one in your store you should have it scanned because it should ring up at the sale price. The S@H price usually matches the in store price, but not always.

Here's hoping to SSD coming back into stock soon!

Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker

For what it's worth, my local store had only one left and also said they weren't getting any more. I know that most of the time store employees can't be trusted, but it seems like everyone is reporting that their local stores supposedly aren't getting anymore.

GE showing as retired on Brickset in the US as of 06/04/14 .. how accurate are Brickset with their retirement dates?

You are misreading that, it's been out of stock at lego shop at home since April 6th 2014

Brick set shows availability. Stock can be unavailable, but not retired. GE has not retired.

EU, UK and ZA write day then month. I work for global IT firm and to this day I am confused until we hit day 13 of the month. Ha.

Where is the guy that had the inside scoop on amazons numbers? I would like to know the draw down from his last post.

What set are you talking about? Ge?

My VIP points updated and my GE shipped from LEGO S@H on 4/4/14.

No SSD's at LEGOLAND California today.

They're remodeling their main store, and I've noticed that inventory has been wonky in the temp building. I have yet to see an SSD, DS, or SC, for instance.

Amazon has 491 left as of right now

Of SSD? If so they sold quite a few.

Yes ssd

Amazon has 491 left as of right now

How are you figuring this? It let me add 999 to cart.

The Big Shop remodel is complete. I was there a week and a half ago for Star Wars weekend and they had every exclusive set available. They must have sold out of SSDs since then.

Amazon has a few thousand SSD. But what do you expect for a set that is not retiring anytime soon?

The brickpicker definition of retiring soon must be extremely loose with the sets that have been mentioned so far lol.

They must added more to the inventory after my post
