February 25, 201510 yr A bunch of people went in big with this set because they saw what the ice dragon did post retirement..........good luck with that.
February 25, 201510 yr What is all this talk about Golden Dragon??? I made on a stack like that... in 2013
February 25, 201510 yr A bunch of people went in big with this set because they saw what the ice dragon did post retirement..........good luck with that. It'lll be fine but thanks. ^^' http://www.ebay.fr/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=lego+golden+dragon&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc (do not believe when I say it's a huge winner, I do not try to convience anyone for what is going on across the pond) edit: ok, I see the white dragon now (set 2260). Impressive for a $20 set, but the golden dragon ($30) is already performing very well here (x2 to x2.5 RRP) and it has just been retired in europe... Edited February 25, 201510 yr by biniou
February 25, 201510 yr I have a question for euro folks: any idea why on LEGO Shop at Home PS is 10 euro more than PC? They're the same MSRP in the US. I was looking at the Netherlands LEGO Shop at Home site, but I would assume the pricing is constant across the euro zone.

Look, there is also no reason for the detective's office to be 10 Edited February 25, 201510 yr by biniou
February 25, 201510 yr Pricing on PC did not make sense. DO and PR are same price in Belgium. 159.99 Pricing in EU doesn't make sense at all. What does make sense in EU anyway?
February 25, 201510 yr PC came out after PS, so inflation doesn't explain the difference. I was hoping to hear 'LEGO Shop at Home in Europe always raises prices right before retiring a set' or something like that! Ah well.
February 25, 201510 yr What does make sense in EU anyway? I like Schengen... PC came out after PS, so inflation doesn't explain the difference. I was hoping to hear I'm sure there is some logic in it. but they never change prices as far as I know. And how they decide which country pays less then another, your guess is as good as mine. February 26, 201510 yr What set do you think is better to buy and hold for the next 2-3 years: Tower Bridge or Tumbler?
February 26, 201510 yr Tower bridge during 2 years, than sell it on 2017 and buy a tumbler if the CAGR of the TB is disappointing to you. Edited February 26, 201510 yr by biniou

February 26, 201510 yr IMHO, in US Tumbler. rest of the world TB... Translation: Americans like silly things like super heroes and the rest of the world is more sophisticated and into things like historic landmarks.

February 26, 201510 yr Translation: Americans like silly things like super heroes and the rest of the world is more sophisticated and into things like historic landmarks. If they wanted to make the real TB interesting they should have built it with bacon.
February 26, 201510 yr What set do you think is better to buy and hold for the next 2-3 years: Tower Bridge or Tumbler? Tower Bridge - because it is an iconic landmark, Tumbler is just 1 car from 1 batman movie, and very popular only in USA.
February 26, 201510 yr TB for piece count, price value, third largest set ever (so far), and I don't own any Tumblers yet...
February 26, 201510 yr Sometimes I just wish those 4200 pieces are used for a different landmark, not the Tower Bridge. Its not welknown enough. Brits are known for their people, not architecture. Imagine a 4200 piece Great Wall of China, St Basilica church, Golden Gate bridge, The Pyramid and/or Sphynx statue, ...

Great Wall of China UCS would be mighty cool... you can just keep buying them and add more sections
February 26, 201510 yr Great Wall of China UCS would be mighty cool... you can just keep buying them and add more sections This is honestly brilliant and I would submit that to the Lego Ideas page. Huge seller in asia.
February 26, 201510 yr Great Wall of China UCS would be mighty cool... you can just keep buying them and add more sections I would buy the architecture version of that , the UCS version will take up too much space Edited February 26, 201510 yr by Darth_Raichu
February 26, 201510 yr Here in Australia, PC is 199 RRP retail, while PS is 269 RRP. No brainer as to which one is more value for money
