Retiring Soon - open speculation

To continue an earlier thread, here are the sets listed on S@H as "Retiring Soon":

Friends - Stephanie's Cool Convertible, Olivia's Speedboat, Mia's Bedroom, Series 1 foil packs

Duplo - Train Starter Set, Doctor's Clinic, Emergency Helicopter

Creator - Apple Tree House

Lego Games - Ninjago, Pirate Plank

Chima Speedorz - CHI Battles, Ring of Fire, Target Practice, CHI Waterfall

Technic - Mini Container Truck

LOTR - Gandalf Arrives, Orc Forge

CMF - Series 9

Architecture - Sugnyemun

Marvel Super Heroes - Captain America's Avenging Cycle

Star Wars - Endor Rebel Trooper and Imperial Trooper Battle Pack, Planet Bespin & Twin Cloud Car, Planet Endor & AT-ST

Nothing earth-shattering.  Orc Forge surprises me the most.

  • Here you go. Are likes important? ^^ Anyway, I find it interesting that the City Vulcan sets are also seem to be done. They are from last year, so they are not really that old. Did a pretty good

  • I'm feeling generous and seems Cladner and Val-E are working to hard at this,  might as well simplify their jobs for the holidays.  Plus some of these need to disappear quicker... 10815

  • Chris, I think you're coming in at a time where the LEGO reselling party is coming to an end. I'm not saying there is no more money to be made; what I'm saying is that the ship is full and the general

R2 isn't in there

Well, the $*#% has officially hit the fan.  If this hasn't been discussed already,  lots of Big Sets Missing from the Late Holiday 2014 Catalog from TLG received in the mail today.  Not sure what to buy next.......

TB, AA, DS are in there

Maybe they ran out of pages?

Anyone has a link to 2013 holiday catalog?

Haven't you heard of the big global glossy paper shortage happening this year due to the increasing amount of new Lego products coming onto the market.  :jester:

Anyone has a link to 2013 holiday catalog?

I'd love to compare that as well.  Time to do some searching.

R2 isn't in there

Neither is ToO, correct?

Damn T1 is there...

Edited by No More Monkeys

Well the MF is in it... but it'll probably go EOL soon. (don't you think?)

A month ago the store manager told me that the mf has to go ;)

He told me that 10-12 sets and i mean big sets will go

5 are already sold out/eol HH, TH, SSD, GE, JK

One is on the way

Joust Kingdom

At least HH is the same

lyxdesic

forward, reverse, word scrambles.

SSD, DSS, or SDS

these single abbreviations were getting to easy anyways

All these abbreviations have my head spinning.  I am making up kits with them that don't exist.  ha ha!

Ahhhh got it. BT, EG, DSS

and don't forget "P in the V goes for EDBD" (for The League tv show fans).

-Kingdoms Just- OOS in Europe, changed the status yesterday to -call to check

-Coast Guard Plane- It's not so big news, but has done the same pattern like SSD, HH, TH, Rd-D2...

-Tower of Orthanc- My bet that is the next because has done the same pattern.

-Milleniun Falcon 7965- Has gone already in Europe, has done the same pattern, so i can bet that will be one of the next in USA and around the world.

There is too much posts but there is too some relevant information between all of them.

It's not so hard, if you read the forum and check the signals.

PS (I don't subscribe to these newfangled reversed abbreviations) is now OOS everywhere except LEGO Shop at Home.

Sounds like work. I'd rather just ask the same repetitive questions on here. :)

Very odd PS out everywhere but limit 5 at LEGO Shop at Home?

Not odd at all. It's the time of year. It has begun. These forums will be funny this time of year with a lot of new users. Omg omgggg every lego set and I mean every one is oos at Amazon.

Sigh.... Yupp. None are retiring. Its Christmas. Noobs.
