I think there will definitely be at least 7 exclusives retired at the end of this year if not earlier.  the new castle coming out and the possible new death star add to the growing list of lego exclusives on the shelves.  The amount of $100 USD  plus sets has grown tremendously over the past few years and I think it is about time for some to retire.

  • Here you go. Are likes important? ^^ Anyway, I find it interesting that the City Vulcan sets are also seem to be done. They are from last year, so they are not really that old. Did a pretty good

  • I'm feeling generous and seems Cladner and Val-E are working to hard at this,  might as well simplify their jobs for the holidays.  Plus some of these need to disappear quicker... 10815

  • Chris, I think you're coming in at a time where the LEGO reselling party is coming to an end. I'm not saying there is no more money to be made; what I'm saying is that the ship is full and the general

Sure. I'm going with threve six myself. What's your list of seven? Picking a number is way too easy for this crowd.

I think so too, have been strongly thinking this since las year. The problem is LEGO does not seem to think so! With their new upcoming chinese factory and with resellers still buying their exclusives like hot cakes without regard to supply and demand, there is no reason for LEGO to stop. We have been digging our own graves. Many exclusives are poison now.

I think T1 is gone too this year. It's been showing the in and out dance step signs.

PS has done way too many fake dances so I don't get my hopes up. I will toast when it happens, if it happens.

i typed the same here in 2014 and 2015. honestly, i've just accepted my odds are better hitting " Powerball" or " Mega Millions" than picking when 10220 goes bye-bye

Hey, I said nothing about investing in it. :)

Something better retire. Period.

If the LEGO won't retire the sets, the investor will retire the LEGO investing.

Just an opinion: Technic 42043 Mercedes...do you think will last 1,5/2 years like many other technic sets or 3,5 years like other Mercedes 8110 Unimog? There are many discounts on this set but I don't want to buy it too early....Thanks

Unimog was 2.5 years and Mercedes will likely be too.

I find it interesting that amazon sells the TB as "discontinued by manufacturer" even though it is clearly still being made.

Amazon is sold out now.

I wonder whether two or three modulars will retire before the next modular becomes publicly available.

There cant possibly be six modulars for sale at once, can there?

if the Parisian Restaurant was retired that would probably surprise a few people.

There's five now. There will probably be five then.

I remember thinking, there can't be 3 modulars, there can't be 4 modulars, later, there can't be 5 modulars, soon Lego may go higher with number of modulars being made at the same time...

Not with retiring, sadly. I'd love for the entire modular line to disappear.

NOOOOOOooooo... blaspheme.  I can see the modular line being the only set my family buys on a yearly basis a few years from now.

That would certainly cause a stir if that was to happen.

Imagine them all suddenly disappearing from the online store worldwide then an announcement that they have decided there will be no more modulars.

Sorry, let me rephrase. I wouldn't mind if all current modulars disappeared. I believe they're gonna milk this forever.

Ohh ... in that case, other than Brick Bank, i'm caught up with what's currently available....so ummm sure!

I wouldn't be overly shocked if Pet Shop, and either Palace Cinema or Parisian Restaurant went away.   But, I think there are so many other sets that will go away this year before those.  Plus, from a business perspective it seems like it would make more sense for them to can both Simpsons sets, than 2 modular sets.

I'll be very, very surprised if the Simpsons sets don't go away this year. If they don't, then it's gotta be just because they don't sell through. I'd expect a "retiring soon" on them.
