All depends on the hoard/horde/herd.

I thought they had been thrown off the scent by Red 5 and Creative Towers....

My belief is once this current stock (US) goes, it will be "sold out".  The last run seems to be a correction of a 34 or 39 week run, thus not new production.  All other LOTR license is finished.

I'm sure the horde would be grabbing these at 60% of like the CT was.

so the TB is currently back-ordered again at LEGO Shop at Home.  Which of course could mean absolutely nothing, but I am wondering whether there has been any sort of announcement of a new expert build a la Taj Mahal, Tower Bridge, SOH?  Reason being is that I would want to believe that Lego would want a selection available of at least a couple sets before retiring either TB or SOH. At least that seems how the modulars seem to run.  Could be two completely different selling models though I guess.

Tower bridge retiring is going to be a big day here. Hope I live to see it

Lego probably plan to retire T1, PS, DS and TB on the same day to troll everyone. Problem is guessing which year....

It'll be April 1st whatever year it is

Some of us probably did learn something from the unexpected retirement of the TH, but most of us will probably continue along the same path as before.

I learned a long time ago that one instance of something happening isn't enough to call it the new norm. But I am cautious.

We could have learned that TLG merely follows rough patterns rather thanstrict rules when it comes to retirements. Then again, we kinda knew that before, didn't we?

But my original question is do you see Lego retiring either TB or SOH without having a replacement set in the wings first?

To make room on their limited production and packaging lines for the record 800+ new sets they plan to release in 2015.

The majority of those are not larger sets & a TB or SOH fan isn't necessarily a SW or SH fan.

I would just think that rather than ending a lucrative product such as TB, you would want to create another product around the same price range for those not willing to stretch for SOH but wanting that massive creator set experience.

I am fine with either. Both are pretty sweet and should do well.

I don't know if age or availability is a primary determiner, but looking at the LEGO Shop at Home site and the number of sets you are allowed to purchase, and I get these as the most restricted sets with only 1 or 2 allowed for purchase at a time. TB is still at medium throttle like the rest of the sets with a max of 5.  I'm kinda new at this and haven't had the opportunity that some of you have had watching exclusives go on sale, retire, and appreciate over the years, and I'm probably trying to see too much in the data ...

the piece count for the price will never ever happen again in regards to tb.
