My gut instinct is that the Pet Shop will retire before the Grand Emporium

If it does it will be like a revolution here.

  • Here you go. Are likes important? ^^ Anyway, I find it interesting that the City Vulcan sets are also seem to be done. They are from last year, so they are not really that old. Did a pretty good

  • I'm feeling generous and seems Cladner and Val-E are working to hard at this,  might as well simplify their jobs for the holidays.  Plus some of these need to disappear quicker... 10815

  • Chris, I think you're coming in at a time where the LEGO reselling party is coming to an end. I'm not saying there is no more money to be made; what I'm saying is that the ship is full and the general

Heads will roll ?

If the PS retires before the GE, I will personally call Lego and complain about how they are making it impossible for investors to predict their next move!

Sorry but the Pet Shop will not retire this year.

I don't remember saying this year, I meant before the GE which may still hang on for ages due to its popularity.  The PS is not such a good seller and could be at risk of premature EOL.  Lego are full of surprises you know. ;-)

GhostDad: How dare you make it impossible for investors to predict your next move!

LEGO rep: Here's your ban

Disposable prepaid cell phones aren't just for drug dealers and hitmen, you know; they're a critical part of any Lego investor's tool kit!

How does anyone know what is, or is not a good seller?  Lego is a private company that does not produce specific product distribution reports.  I hear this being said all the time around here, and no one actually knows any of that information.

Says the person who is always claiming sets are "done".

I am hoping 6862 goes away soon.  My concern is that the winter 2015 Super Heroes wave is going to have a New 52 version of both Wonder Woman and Superman since they are featured in the LEGO Batman 3 video game coming out in November.  Their costumes are a bit different, but new releases that soon would definitely hamper the secondary market prices of 6862. I don't think Lex is going to drive demand up very much.

I'll be proven right in due time.  Sit back and watch. :taunt: (Never used one of these little guys before, brave new world now)

I don't know.  All the counterfeits on eBay make me wary of loading up on Super Heroes sets, but I still follow the secondary market, and #6866 has held up surprisingly well in the face of (correct me if I'm wrong) reissuance of two of its three figs (so only Deadpool remains exclusive to the set).  This has led me to think there's less logic in how the $20, 3-fig Super Heroes sets perform post-EOL than I had previously thought.

Brick Show put out an update today that we already knew was happening that Lego 6862 Superman vs Power Armor Lex for $18.99 is retiring.

So that reinforces it more and I bought another 15 while I can.

Same price at Target, Walmart and Amazon.

well considering that is what Lego has it marked as, u dont need any better confirmation ;)

Does anyone know how long Lego has the Simpsons license?  I'm assuming the CMF line will retire before October, when the next series arrives, but I'm wondering if we have any way to predict EOL for the house?

Some Chima sets got new "Retiring Soon" tags at Lego in the last day or 3:

70139

I don't think there's going to be anyone here that's going to be able to give you a definitive answer on the licence. If I was to hazard a guess I'd say two or three years.
