I hope I have time to buy this set but I'm just wondering when it will go EOL? The last time I saw it wasn't too long ago at my Target and they were all stocked up on it.

Congrats on your success at a young age StarPod. Keep working hard. Back to the topic...hard to find any Forge here in Toronto (CAN)...regular prices if there's stock, hope it's still around until I can pick up a few on sale. The set looks great, can be incorporated into most medieval/castle theme almost.

I still need to find one for me to complete my first run LOTR collection and a few to invest in. Hoping to find some when they get clearanced out a Target. Personally this was the set I was least interested in of the first run. Shelob's lair was probably weaker but it included Sam so...

And I was happy with the 5 that I had, that's a lot of freaking Orcs!

And Lurtz's.

Let's see, each The Orc Forge comes with two Mordor Orcs (one bald, other with hair, both the same), one Uruk-hai, and one Lurtz. So that is 200 Mordor Orcs, 100 Lurtz's, and 100 Uruk-Hai. Good lord, you'll have to buy the Tower of Orthanc now to have your army of 400 guys guarding it or Battle at Helm's Deep to raid it. :)

I just noticed the "Retiring Soon" tag for the Orc Forge today, not sure when it was added.

Most sets seem to go EOL within a couple months of getting that tag.

 

 

My guess is most of these sets will be EOL by the end of the summer, christmas at the latest.

i thought that set was only sold at target and LEGO stores, didnt realize wal mart was carrying it. I will have to check on the way home i guess. I snagged 2 off LEGO.com gets free shipping and the free jor-el minifig as its over the $75 amount.

I'm disappointed that Helm's Deep isn't showing as "retiring soon".  All in due time, I guess.

Orc Forge has been on notice at the Lego site for some time. I got me one a few months ago when I saw this as the Toronto Lego stores were all empty of them.

I'm surprised it's retiring so soon. Exclusive sets usually seem to last forever...
