I see that a few of the sets I currently own are listed as UCS sets by some, but I see no evidence supporting this assertion. 10188 and 10195 Anyone have any confirmation that these are actually UCS sets?

They are not UCS sets. Cool sets and nice investments, but they are not UCS sets.

These people and sites saying that these are ucs sets are getting their info from somewhere....... or are they just making this stuff up to help the sets sell? I rememb er a while back LEGO referring to these as UCS. I wish I could find another drop ship at a decent price because I really want to build one. My MISB one is burning a hole in my closet lol

There was a time when some people classified the 10188 as a UCS set, but they were mistaken. With the exception of the Darth Maul and Yoda replicas, every UCS set had a specifications plaque and the Death Star and Dropship do not.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. But I tell you what though, even though it's not, it's a no-brainer to pick this up as an investment. The number of pieces and the diorama-like vignettes of pivotal scenes from SW are a big draw.
