  • I'm 99% sure the Curiosity rover is gone for good.  I've checked with the powers responsible multiple times, just to be sure.  The remaining 1% uncertainty is just a result of my own naive hope, becau

Most likely my last post on this thread.  I sold my last 21104 for $800 FBM back in November 2021.  This was by far the best investment I ever made.  I would go as far as putting 21104 as the PER

I'm curious, what do you guys expect this set to sell for, say, by Christmas 2015? $100?

I have no experience with Cuuso sets (in fact, I have almost no Lego investment experience at all)

I personally would never buy a set this size for $100, but that's just me (and I really mean it, cos I know with my level of income and dedication I would never shell out more than $300 for any Lego set to play or display, but thousands of other people do it every single day).

The reason I'm asking is because at the current price ($60-ish + S&**** on Ebay) even though it's great ROI percentage wise, I'm not sure you will pocket much unless you have like 50 of them.

I expect this set to sell for $150 or a little more by Christmas 2015. Maybe it will reach those kind of prices by this Christmas. Who knows, but the one of the reasons that the set is doing so well is because of the limited availability. If more Rovers were made, I would predict that it would take a long while for it to climb that high.

Lego will have to rerelease - will need some freaking lasers

And Lego would give us more flick-to-fire missiles instead. :(

There'll be plenty of people willing to shell out $100 for this set in time, have no fear.

I certainly won't be selling at $60.

21104 on eBay continue to climb.  Christmas is looking good!

Excluding a damaged box and one from Canada, this set is now at $98 on ebay.

I'll sell at $100. I don't know about it hitting $150 with so many being hoarded. Who knows though, maybe it goes zombies on us.

That's the thing are so many being hoarded?

Look at this auction listing over a day left and at $76 for a USED built set.

"being hoarded" ?? there were not that many availability to do any hoarding. And jojobimbi was hoarding via purchases from 3rd parties, so, he was reducing available stock. If he is one of the few who had any significant amount, and had to buy for (1.5-2) x MSRP, I would imagine he wants it to go higher than $100 to star selling. we can just ride along...

$150 isn`t at all unreasonable at this point, it could very well go even higher. Doesn`t look like it`s coming back, so literally the sky (ok, maybe $200-$250) is the limit.

Any news on the Rover today? There are 7 new listings on eBay today one with 5 another with more then 10. The only thing I see at LEGO Shop at Home is the gold bricks "stars" that represent the reviews are no longer gold but grey. The reviews are still there. Only other thing I can think of is that it did not retire when SSD did.

on desktop site, reviews and stars are there, when you are looking at the actual listing

When this set is marked retired on S @ ****, Jojoyojimbi and I will make this thread so festive, it will put the SSD thread to shame :D

Let me know when u do so I can unsubscirbe. My phone consistently going off interferes with my life. :)
