To top of the day with new lego sets. Cuusoo revealed there new set mars science laboratory curiosity rover today. The set won over the UCF sandcrawler and the portal 2 set.

I don't remember but I am thinking those $50 Rovers are looking better and better every day. I think they did that with the SSD.

Well I just bit the bullet and bought one for $65 for my own build.  I've been waiting to get one for retail, but the possibility of that is looking more unlikely.

That stinks having to pay that much but on the positive side, it is a cool build and looks good on display.

You should have asked around here on the forums. Someone could have hooked you up for decent price (without fees at least), or trade you

LEGO knew exactly what they were doing.  They said in their catalog it was a "limited" set.  I never saw that before.  It was indeed limited and many people ignored their "hint."  Wait till you see what happens the next time LEGO marks something as "limited."  People are going to go bonkers and buy mass quantities of sets, even if it is not limited in numbers.  They planted a seed...

Ya that one sucks...Only thing going for it is the minifigures. Everything else is pretty much Lego trash in terms of display and playability. Same with that awful Palpatine Arrest set. Horrible. 

 

Thankfully the Rover is nothing like either of those. 

I think I am the only person in the world that really likes 7754. It was one of my first "big" lego sets after my dark ages.

LEGO stated in their catalog it was limited. They never do that. TRU does it with every set.

There is no shame in liking it, Lego still made it after all, if anyone is to feel shameful it should be them

When I heard they were making the Home One, I was stoked. An awesome ship in the movies, albeit hard to design in Lego. Then I found out they were just doing the bridge and the hangar. I was not exactly pleased. That was one of my major disappointments right after coming out of my dark ages.

I've noticed the product pages have changed to Retired product.

I'd better start rubbing my hands together then!  I think they hold off stating "Retired Product" until all back-orders are fulfilled.  I only had my last one delivered a week ago!

Ahh, should have bought more. I have a small stash but had that nagging feeling this set was going to make a return. Sucks, it`ll hit $100 fast then up from there. Ceiling is probably at least $150 if not closer to $200.

That`s very likely, fantastic return for a set with no minifigures. Hell, that would be great for any set. 

$75 has been the lowest price BIN or Auction in the USA since 6/21 with no more then 39 total listings. Looking for this set to hit $180 with free shipping by Xmas.

I just picked up 4 sealed cases from Denmark in a trade with a Forum member and have never seen one listed in the USA not sure if they will be worth more to a collector
