This looks to be sold out pretty much everywhere here in Australia, which is a rare occurrence. I'm not ruling this set out for making a sneaky 2015 exit.

LOL @ sneaky... Why do you think it's not going? I absolutely think it's done...

Would be very sneaky if Lego.com goes from TOOS to Sold Out status.

That's how it should be to keep the resellers off guard. Sets like this has been on the shelf long enough for people to purchase.

Anyone seen a new box yet?

I was wondering if the TOOS might just be to produce new boxes like the Palace Cinema and Volkswagen.

It´s available in the rest of the world so unless it is old stock, unlikely. They must have made quite a few not to sell out during the BF promotion in Europe. Let´s see if it is marked down again in the January sale.

Well before my comment this thread was dormant for over a month... seems a bit too quiet if everyone was thinking it was imminently retiring.

It's TOOS @ Lego & sold out @ FAO, Target, TRU & Walmart. That didn't happen overnight. I believe most of the comments may have been in the "Retiring Soon" thread...

That would explain why this thread is so quiet then. This is by far the exclusive with the least amount of chatter, it would be interesting to know how much this is hoarded.

I have a feeling no where near as much as DS, Red5, PS, PC, or Tumbler. Perfect candidate for Lego to retire to make way Big Ben ;)

But will there be demand in the after life?

Well here in Australia it's a great seller as you might expect, so it'll do great here.

It is not a bad set as well. Just too expensive and decent discounts were very very rare. At least in my outback of the woods.

Short answer: yes

Long answer: As long as the future landmark sets are good enough to make new buyers want the sets they missed out on

I guess it's usual that lego doesn't make discount with an exclusive Set. It's not like SW or Ninjago and so on. That mean's that TLG dont't want that People like we shouldn't able to horde this Set I would say.

Agree! Wait until Lego really expand into the China market. I can't wait for a Forbidden City!

i guess this set isnt that great for investment ( if your not from down under ofc:D)

It's just butt ugly compared to the Tower Bridge which is why I'm leaving this one alone. It could retire due to lack of interest as the ones I've seen in the UK appear to linger on shelves where the Tower Bridges don't last long at all. However, if I see one cheap enough, I'd use it for the bits.

Hmmm, have you checked out prices of its little brother 21012, recently?

Yes, and it's done well. I'm just one of those that's reluctant to buy what I don't like. However, I love the new cityscapes and could be tempted with those. The selling price of a small set isn't necessarily an indication of the selling price of its big brother.  If the big SOH had a smooth roof rather then the very inaccurate corrugated one, I may think differently about it.
