Yeah prices in europe are just too darn high,I know because I lived there myself most of my life. Canada isn't too bad but the US still has the best deals so I hear.

Interesting, I live in country just right next to yours and shipping for me (1 set) is crazy 12.50

When I have a larger order I ship it to my friend in Germany, and when he comes home to visit his family he can pass them to me. He uses a multivan, so he could not care less That is how I bought my computer, you know who will pay 350

They have not been out even 1 year yet, but definetly the signs have started to appear. Large discounts. Limited availablility. Pirate ship ambush should do the best after EOL.

 

 

Don`t know why every seems to hate on the Goblin King. The set itself is an ugly mess, but there are lots of great parts included in this set. Would I buy at full price? Definetly not, but it`s worth considering at 50% or so.

Unexpected Gathering has been out a year and a half, the other two are coming up to a year. Many UK stockists have sold out and most of the others are slashing the prices. While I agree most sets last 18-24 months, it's not uncommon to see sets last no more than a year

These sets along with with Goblin King, Wargs, Wizard Battle, Riddles, and Barrel Escape have all started disappearing for me locally as well.  That sometimes happens in a remote country like mine and then retailers get another shipment.  But this time there have been some crazy 50-60% off discounting at a few online stores for very short windows and I was lucky enough to pick a few more of each up.

 

Could be the last we see of these sets for sure.

I have been to a few Toys R Us stores in the last few days and all have 50-60% off on most Hobbit sets. As does Smyths Toys.

Some have smaller discounts such as Goblin King and Mines of Moria.

I was in one TRU store a few hours ago and they still had X5 Helms Deep but at full price....

Gundol battle was 25 quid today on asda direct, gone now, But still black gates, elf army, council of elrond, wizard battle, mirkwook spiders and lake town chase all 50% off.

Do u think Tower of Orthanc will still hang around despite these lotr and hobbit sets being cleared out?

yes it will, kind of like the haunted house with the monster fighters theme.  the tower of orthanc pretty much just came out

Loved the first three. Hated the first Hobbit movie, haven't seen the second.

Lego got messed up once when they went from 2 movies to 3, I'm sure they'll be more than a bit upset if they already have the original title worked in on marketing and boxes.
