Hi, Today I attended a briefing session in Durham Cathedral (in UK), about a fundraising activity they are having where they are going to build a replica, and raise money by getting people to sponsor the bricks.
It is going to be a minimum, yes minimum, of 100,000 bricks, and will be 3.7m x 1.7m x 1.5m (12ft x 5ft6 x 4ft11).
It is being designed by a UK (I believe) company that works with Lego and designs/builds their Legoland models.
Anyway, they are looking for volunteers to help build it, so thought I would share, though apologies on the lateness of the post as briefs were today and I found out myself last minute, but there may still be time to get involved if you contact them as the build is not starting until June.
