Someone reminded me of this a couple weeks back...I agree that it probably should've remained forgotten but hey, this was actually a pretty good way to experience LOTR before we had the movie. I loved this as a kiddo.

I'll admit they did take some liberties with the look of Gollum in the Rankin/Bass version but he was meant to be a scathing shadow of his former self. In other words, rather fugly. :lol:

The fact that Gollum is 2X the size of Bilbo is something I can't get over. :shut:
