With the rumored Ewok Village set due to be announced and possibly released later this year, does anyone think there may be some value in investing in the older ewok based sets? I'm thinking that if the Ewok Village is a large epic set as rumored then people may want to buy other ewok sets to pair with it for Endor type display builds. Sets in question are: 7139 Ewok Attack 7956 Ewok Attack 8038 The Battle of Endor

8038 has had a couple of years to appreciate, but it hasn't increased in value very much so far. I believe that the 9489 Endor battlepack has hurt the larger 8038's appeal, since the battlepack is a cheap source for rebel troopers and Imperial scout troopers. If had to pick an Endor-related set to invest in right now, it would be the 9489 battlepack.

Hmmm, had missed that one. Could be another option.

It'll be interesting to see how many ewoks come in the village. I imagine people will want to build the village population as well as the other scenes from endor. possibly a huge jump in the price of ewok minifigs? because they are only available in a few retired sets

Maybe 8038 Battle of Endor will finally turn its ugly rear around and start making good profits lol....
