Ecto-1 will be hoarded in far greater quantities, mainly on the back of 21103's success. I don't think many realized just how popular the Delorean would be. It's nuts to think how a set that was pretty much always discounted came to the lofty heights it did last year. I was being totally sarcastic and i think the delorean was highly hoarded - at least it was by me i had 3 dozen and i'm just a small timer. i'm up to 4 dozen ecto. i think any movie based theme is automatically being hoarded, especially a successful movie with the fanbase of Back To The Future. All the hoarding protagonists always ignore the demand side of the equation which we have to guess at. With movies, you have a proven commodity - at least with films like Back to the future, ghostbusters, star wars, Jurassic world - you're dealing with blockbusters. then you get sets like Prince of Persia, Lone Ranger which were total box office flops and you know that the sets are probably not going to do well. Based on the previous incarnation of ghostbusters and the reboot coming up this summer the demand will see a bump. it's just a matter now of when the retirement happens. or doesn't happen. January 29, 20169 yr Forget the counterfeit figures, $130 for a light up kit! The cars not even included for that price, someones clearly having a bubble bath.
February 5, 20169 yr Uh oh.. Good or bad news? https://twitter.com/LEGO_Group/status/695638319036809216
February 5, 20169 yr Good news. Can't see classic gb fans wanting that Ecto. Leslie Jones should have been a maxi fig like those old castle trolls.

February 5, 20169 yr I wonder if it will fit into GBHQ without having to remove parts from the garage area.

February 5, 20169 yr I see no reason why to keep both Ecto sets on store shelves, but I'm not LEGO soo..
