May 12, 201312 yr It seems the numbers were confused initially but that information has been corrected now. 21015 is the Leaning Tower of Pisa, 21018 is the United Nations Headquarters. And 21017 is Imperial Hotel just to toss that in there. So then we'll never get an Eames House you think?
May 12, 201312 yr I really like these Architecture sets, but I don't know if they'd make a good investment as only two have gone EOL, all of the others are available from LEGO Shop at Home. I'd have them, gladly, for display purposes :D
May 12, 201312 yr The imperial hotel is overall the best set IMO. However I truly do think all of these are remarkable investments!
May 13, 201312 yr Author So then we'll never get an Eames House you think? I think it is still possible. Perhaps next year?
June 9, 201312 yr this is a seriously cool set! - these architecture sets investment vise have not been hot in the past, but with these new ones, there are quite a few people taking a liking to them. the only bad thing i can see about this set is me trying to make sure all the levers are perfectly level!
June 9, 201312 yr Are those a bunch of Light Bluish Gray Levers? This set could make a lot more of those available to builders who need them for their 10179 Millennium Falcons God that was annoying, i had about 5 break on me when taking that set apart before selling it
June 9, 201312 yr Author God that was annoying, i had about 5 break on me when taking that set apart before selling it Ouch! That has to sting like a motherhumper.
June 11, 201312 yr Has this set been officially introduced by Lego yet? I know they just introduced Leaning Tower of Pisa officially 1-2 weeks ago. And lookie here - a brand new ogre avatar...now I'm moving on up (to the East side)!
June 14, 201312 yr Seems this set is due to launch only by end of this year? The 21015 Tower of Pisa just arrived in S'pore. I simply love this theme's matt black boxes...
June 14, 201312 yr Looks good. Are the architecture sets good for investment? It's not a theme I have really thought about. I don't know how they do after retirement, but it's uncanny how I always see them on huge discount or clearance, so that's a clue. Stuff like the large scale Eiffel tower, sure I can see people buying those, but these micro scale buildings are just so boring. I don't get the appeal at all...
June 26, 201312 yr Author As usual, GRogall of Eurobricks has posted some HD images for the United Nations Headquarters set.You can view the images in the main post of this topic or on Eurobricks.
June 26, 201312 yr That looks like a cool set. I'm surprised these Architecture sets are not better investments. Most of them look really good!
June 26, 201312 yr That looks like a cool set. I'm surprised these Architecture sets are not better investments. Most of them look really good! Well, so far the only set that has been retired has been a great investment (John Hancock Center). I strongly believe in the good performance of these sets.
June 26, 201312 yr Author Well, so far the only set that has been retired has been a great investment (John Hancock Center). ......Seriously?
June 26, 201312 yr That bad boy is fetching close to $60, triple its MSRP. I really like the building but it has some special sentimental value for me - it's where I proposed to my wife!
June 26, 201312 yr Author That bad boy is fetching close to $60, triple its MSRP.I checked the current value before posting and was definately surprised. These Architecture sets for me would be ones that look nice sitting on a shelf in its original box. (You know, NRFB.)I really like the building but it has some special sentimental value for me - it's where I proposed to my wife! That has to be the nicest semi Lego related story I have ever heard.

September 21, 201312 yr The UN Secretary Ban Ki-Moon put the finishing brick on a large scale model of the set yesterday. Beautiful model, and it used over 90, 000 bricks. The people over at UN are well deserving of a distraction (however brief) from all the terrible stuff going on in the world. Check it out: http://www.toplessrobot.com/2013/09/united_nations_secretary_general_completes_giant_l.php
