    A typical day on BP 2015:   superlegofanresseler3476:  EV is crap.  Ewoks were to the OT as what Jar Jar was to the prequels.  Nobody likes them.  And who wants a set that's nothing but a bunch of tre

    Count me in this group mostly. I sometimes buy an extra of a set when I can afford it, but primarily I use BP to guide my collecting decisions - which sets to buy, in what order, at what price. For th

Is this set on the way out now? It's still in stock on the LEGO SOH sites but they indicated to me in my local store that it is the next to go and possibly retiring as we speak. eBay prices for it aren't that high. Should I go and grab two of them for £400? Is it a worthy investment. Looking to flip it in a year and make 50 per cent markup hopefully!

Not sure if this helps (hope it does..) - I just went an purchased one of these at retail (£200) at my local official LEGO store and the guy was really friendly. He told me that in the last delivery (Thursday 24th March) they got a few more Sandcrawlers but no more Ewok Villages.

Which means that next weeks delivery will have Ewok Villages and no Sandcrawlers

I heard from a cpl different managers at separate stores that EV is the next UCS to go. It's being pushed out by the new Hoth set coming in. The reasoning is shelf space, similar price point and they are both play sets. I think the new Hoth set has nothing on the EV but from a marketing standpoint I think EV is done by May 4th or soon afterwards.

Realistically, it is going to go at some point this year but it´s unprecedented that an exclusive that has had a full life cycle is pulled before Q4.

SSD available Aug 27 2011 thru Jun 3rd 2014 per brickset

I think this will go out around the same time.

You´re right, I had European dates in my head and only Bwing went earlier because it was pulled before 2 years.

Is there a chance SAH will still have it available near the end of April (During the May the Fourth deals)? I want to score a good deal by buying one with a gift card ($18 or so below real value), double VIP, a free poster, and a free limited edition minifig. Will it be gone by then? Generally, I think this would be an odd time to retire it, but who knows anymore! Thanks in advance for your input!

got my set from amazon.com on January 22nd, packing code 41R5

Is there a guide anywhere on this site as to what each of the different packing codes means?

Yes and it is really simple. 1st number is week, letter is factory initial and last letter is year so week 41 factory R (Us IIRC) year 2015

Is there a guide anywhere on this site as to what each of the different packing codes means?

41 represents the week, the 5 represents the year (2015) and the R is the region the box was made. R being US/Canada, S being Europe, I believe.

Just to add - I think the know production plants are:
H = Nyíregyháza, Hungary
R = Ciénega de Flores, Mexico
S = Kladno, Czech Republic
Q = Purkersdorf, Austria
B = Shenzhen, China (Not Confirmed)
M = Billund, Denmark (Not Confirmed)
O = Billund, Denmark (Not Confirmed)

Wonder if there's anyone out there hardcore enough to collect all the seal codes for a given year and week on there fave set??? :sword:
