When you opened this, I bet you thought it might be interesting. It isn't. I suggest to The Macks that this emoticon: :) should be retired. E.O.L. It's cute, but the position of the eyes implies a hint of sarcasm when none is intended. I mean, I don't want people thinking I'm rude because this smiley face has an attitude problem. Seriously, I really enjoyed that thing you said. Don't listen to that smiley face guy. If you agree, roll your eyes at me. Word.

I feel like this is a respectful forum where everyone is nice. But this is necessary....

You didn't smile, so I don't know if you're joking or not. At least you got all the words in the right order.... :)

ha! you know I never really noticed that. Always just thought it was the generic smiley face. But it does look a bit different now I look closer. Do any other emoticons work on the forums, never tried them.

But the eyes aren't actually rolling! Who's to say it's not just looking at something off in the distant right? A Mr. Gold riding in a VW Bus heading towards a green grocer? :-)

I enjoy any and all Mack-based sarcasm.

They should implement this laughing one, it always bugs me when it never changes into an emoticon. :D

you know, I was thinking the same thing. on all of the other forums I am a member of the : and ) is a smiley with both eyes forward. I think this one does have a hint of sarcasm, ie rolling eyes How do you do just a smile without the uprolled eye.

You're right! He does have a bit of an attitude, doesn't he? ;) I'd like to see a chart of all the smilies this site can support and how to make them. Then we can get a little more variety in our virtual facial expressions. :)

To everyone that is worrying about emoticons, there are forum changes that are being looked at and I believe that this is one of them. You should have some selection of your smiley face in the future, but I'm not the one coding it obviously. The Macks would have much more information on this, but I'm personally not sure how far along this is. Thanks. :)

I think these will all work: :-):cheese::) ;-) :smirk:  :-S :wow: :bug: :-P %-P ;-P :P :blank: :long: :ohh: :grrr: :gulp: 8-/  :red:  :shut: :-/ >:( >:-( :zip:  :ahhh:  :coolsmirk:  :coolhmm: :coolmad: :coolcheese: :vampire: :snake:

Jeff, the forum will benefit greatly if the "Post Reply" editor has a dropdown with all of the smileys you posted. I know you guys are waiting for the next bb software update so I do not know how feasible this change is atm. :-)

Here you go.. Look in the formatting bar above the text area when posting a new comment/topic

Thanks a lot Jeff, my posts are going to be much more colorful now :-)
