How many bells will it take to complete your collection? Will you need to pick up odd jobs and sell random things to your neighbors? Can you ever truly pay off your debt to Tom Nook?

Interesting to see what they're doing with the Nintendo license.  Now if Zelda got a series of sets (and possibly minifigure series) that would be amazing.  I'll wait for that.

Seeing Nintendo slowly becoming more comfortable with LEGO using their brand could potentially lead to other properties receiving the buildable toy treatment such as Link (mah boi). This may be the closest theme we will ever get to a pseudo Fabuland reprisal (whereas Legends of Chima was an attempt at Thundercats).

All I know is Ankha had better be in that lineup. Best girl, dang it.

I saw a news article a couple days ago that laid out the top selling Nintendo Switch games.  While I want to see a Zelda theme, I can see perhaps why they picked Animal Crossing, it's the second-most selling game, though Zelda BOTW and Zelda TOTK are both in the top 10 and if combined would beat Animal Crossing.

Super Smash Bros would be great in LEGO form.  The licensing could be a major headache though.

SSB would be huge, because of so many charakters (=minifigures) and the Nintendo releases geared toward SSB have a good resale value.

 

the short length of this thread and having to search for it should indicate the popularity? I was just curious if anyone has seen any trends or pop on any radars? maybe I should have looked past this thread? maybe I should do my own research? lol I am. and I usually find my answers here without having to post lol but this one and sonic seem like sleepers somewhere.

There are some Japanese exclusives, not sure if they are different sets or just boxes, look into those and report back and let us know.

generic searches show the info from January; Japan to have specially marked boxes. it seems to be just the animal crossing name/logo print.

preliminary eBay research shows a bunch currently listed but none sold since august which was likely 1 person getting the whole lot. and 1 poly bag in sept.
