I invest a lot in sealed sets but also have a used collection that I build for display. But I noticed before I got into Lego I was thinner, exercising more at the gym, etc. Now after several months of building Lego I've spent less time hitting the gym and more time building Lego and have gained some weight. Lego is so fun to build and addictive that I find myself a few hours each day/night building sets instead of exercising. In fact the only time it seems I'm getting any exercise now is walking down the Lego toy aisles. :-) Has this happened to anyone else or just me?

Fortunately my job requires a lot of physical activity so I've avoided this deliemma quite easily!

LEGO makes me PHAT with the ladies. :)

Actually yes... When I first started sorting a lot of Lego bulk just standing and sitting still all day I gained like ten pounds. Then I had to start working out a ton more

Nope, I'm already fat :) Actually, it may be helping me lose weight. Lugging large Lego boxes around could be considered a workout right... right?

If this is in regards to wallet size, then I would say it is quite the opposite of fat... haha!

Nope. I have way too many things to do in life, not just Lego. I do seem to spend a bit more time browsing these forums though....

Well I think LEGO is making me fat because all I do is sit my butt in this chair and type a bunch of crazy Klingon code on the screen to find out the values of these sets :)

Yes...even though I am a teen, I probably gained like 10 pounds over the past 6 months...A huge amount, considering for a while I was stuck at 75 lbs... :P

Not a problem for me yet, but I do know that I am spending more time on it than I probably should.

If you are 75 pounds and a male teen you should seriously think about becoming a coxswain if you have any local highschool crew teams. Thats like the optimal weight..

LEGO doesn't make a person fat. A person makes a person fat.

Crap, I just realized that if the Government or New York city see this thread they will try to ban LEGO for our own good.

I know, but there seems to be a correlation at least for me since its occupying more of time building lego sets and less gym time, I blame it on Lego...haha And yes, TheDarkness we all have much more to do in life than just Lego.

Call the mayor of New York City and tell him that. He needs a reality check.

Eating legos is not an approved diet with the surgeon general.

You, sir, owe me 1.00 for the soda i just spit all over myself.

Hobby: Sitting at a desk doing nothing but building Legos Job: Sitting at a desk doing nothing but writing code on a computer. Nothing's changed for me at all.

No more than one 12 ounce Lego purchase at one time.

How can I blame Lego when it has done so much for me?

Like I said, I gained at least 10 pounds in the last couple months. :P 85+ lbs now. Either way, my school doesn't have a boating team. We have like every sport, except that, and a diving team. :( Going to be joining bowling in the fall and volleyball in the winter/spring next year for HS.

Actually, depending on your height, you may want to consider gaining more weight...or at least eating more protein or something. I weighed 150 lbs as a young teen...but I was also just over 6ft tall.

Pretty short for my age...I'm like what 5 ft 3 or something? I just weighed myself for the heck of it. I'm just at 90 lbs. Still fairly skinny for my age though. :/
