I did not own any version of the throne room until this diorama.  Maybe the high price lured me in or the "diorama" aspect meaning I have an excuse since I'm a collector not a kid playing with legos. 

It was an easy build with several sections being symmetrical so I was able to build several assemblies at once instead of taking my time and enjoying the break from adulthood.

I chose to pose my figs as father and son dueling.  How many of you went the evil, painful version of the emperor hitting Jedi Luke with lightning?

Lego did a good job on the window build and I like the hidden compartment too.  This set is now adjcant the Dagobah swamp set on a shelf in my home office.
