200,000 Piece LEGO Alien City

Just have to say this is pretty incredible.

http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57577773-1/behold-an-amazing-200000-piece-lego-alien-city/

Crafted out of more than 200,000 Lego pieces and taking over 600 hours to build, the sculpture, designed entirely by Doyle, depicts a wondrous alien civilization. There's something Gothic about his soaring spires, bridges, buttresses, and villages clustered about the city's base.

600 hours!!! Good for you buddy! I wonder if he will sell it to me for $500?

Don't you wish... :)

I've seen better. <- sarcasm

... and I was proud of my wife yesterday when she built this custom building for our city from scratch. I just told her I have to tear it apart because I need the pieces to start my Alien City. lol.

Well, this isn't too bad. ;)

I think if my wife built anything I would be impressed! She did an awesome job - and I love that fact that it's for your lego city. A family that builds together stays together... :) Love it!

Very, very cool! Btw Legodog, your wife's city building looks great!

the person that build this "Mike" has a website http://mikedoylesnap.blogspot.com/ - his work is just awesome

I love MOC's that look like this. I would like them way more if I could make them myself! Congratulate your wife for me, Legodog! That's an amazing job, and way better than I can do! ;) Love the Chicken Suited Man.

What do you mean "this isn't too bad" this is awesome!!

That's awesome. Pretty neat that he has used kickstarter to fund some more works.

I gave my wife the Lego Valentines box one year. She built it wrong and I had to fix it :o(

TLG quality right there. Amazing!!

Cool. Thanks for sharing.

Nice! I don't know how people do that but then again I've never had an unlimited amount of Lego bricks. ;)

Oh....my....god....... How can such awesomeness be even remotely possible?!

Guy must have bought like 200 Death Stars to get all those parts!

....I don't follow. I mean that I would enjoy amazing MOC's more if I could make them, since I can make amazing MOC's that I prefer like SW ones. Unfortunately, I can't. Not creative enough. :)

That is an awesome Lego Alien City. 600 hours comes down to 25 days. (24 hours a day.) That is amazing.
