10307 - Eiffel Tower / LEGO ICONS

Have not seen one yet, no.   Was looking.  Then thought maybe I would create my own.  Have not decided as yet as I want a Hue-like effect where I can change colors or strobe them.

I was rather shocked to discover that the tower is actually dark tan, not dark bley. I feel like I’ve been lied to my whole life.
I know they paint it periodically. Do they change the color?

FYI… got the Game of Bricks light kit for the Eiffel Tower… meh.

it’s really neat when it’s lit up, but it SUCKED to put together. Super fidddly, and kind of poorly thought out.

One caveat. This is the first time I’ve ever put lights on a Lego set.
it could be that it just sucks to do in general.

I’ve put the Lightailing light kit set on all 4 of my Lego super cars (Porsche, Bugatti, Lambo, and Ferrari) and they were all kind of a pain to do. Look great once they are installed though!

I decided to get one of these with the Insiders weekend discount. Has anyone found a light kit that works well? Any idea if you can still separate the modular parts after the lights are installed? I see several options out there, but I’ve never installed a light kit before. Not sure how difficult it is…
