The Lego Movie

I saw an article about this and I decided I should share it with you guys/gals. There is a new animated Lego movie coming out called.... "The Lego Movie" by the Warner Bros. (I'm pretty sure they could have came up with a better name.) (: Anyways, the movie is slated to be shown in U.S. theaters on February 7th 2014. (Shown in 2D and 3D.) The cast includes Will Arnett from "Arrested Development", Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson from "Taken 2", Alison Brie from "Community", Nick Offerman from "Parks and Recreation", and Elizabeth Banks from the "Hunger Games." The directors/writers are Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. (21 Jump Street, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.)

Considering the popularity of Lego and the star-filled cast, I think this movie will do great. What is your opinion about the release of a Lego movie?

I've only built CCP but I love it. So bright and colourful and happy lol.

working on building the sea cow as we speak and it is truly one amazing and really fun set to build, with plenty of moving parts.

Was a toss-up between all the old memories the S-S-SPACESHIP conjures up for me and the simple awesomeness {is that a word?} of the Sea Cow.

Definitely it has to be Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!!! set, but out of the current wave it would have to be the Super Cycle Chase set. Glad I got it on discount aswell.

It was a really tough choice between the Sea Cow and Benny's Spaceship, but Benny's SPACESHIP is better.

I have to vote the Spaceship, but I'm also very partial to the LEGO toilet in the Flying Flusher.

Can't wait for the spaceship. I am also 37, so that might have something to do with it. I will say I pretty much love all of them, and Lord Business' Evil Lair has some fun playability and a good mix of some key figures.

They're all ugly.

They're all ugly.

Blasphemy of the highest offense!!! xD

For me it`s a toss up between the Sea Cow and Benny`s ship. Both sport incredible designs, and are stunning Lego sets all around. That said, the theme as a whole really is quite impressive and creative.

CCP built, great little set.

Was at the Lego Store earlier this week and the Sea Cow looks freakin AMAZING. Too bad it's so expensive.

I am in my 30's but I am asking for the Sea Cow for my birthday:) I think that set looks great.  We built cloud cuckoo and glider getaway both of which are cute sets.

I honestly couldn't just pick one as each has some great characters many of which are unique to that set. The Ice Cream Machine and Flying Flusher stand out for me in design and namesake wise. Come on, THE FLYING FLUSHER! How hilarious sounding is that? Ha. Anyway, I do want to get the Super Secret Police Dropship seeing how many robo swat guys it comes with plus the Green Ninja and Johnny Thunder. It's also a pretty cool design.

SPACESHIP! But from the ones already out there, it has to be Bob the Kabob Guy and his flying kabob stand, from the Creative Ambush set. Simply brilliant!

So I was going to preorder the everything is awesome blu ray...and at checkout it says it will ship 08-12-14.......please tell me this is wrong!

So, am I the only one who thinks the Toys R Us exclusive Rescue Reinforcements (70813) will suffer as a short/long-term investment because of it's lack of key minifigs from the movie?  These things aren't moving at my TRU.

I chose the Sea Cow. One, it was the one thing that stood out the most for me in the movie. Two, it has the double decker couch....seriously...who doesn't love the couch?????????? Three, it's actually my first 'boat,' and I really do enjoy the steampunk vibe it has going for it. Four, it was just a ton of fun to actually build, and is super impressive next to all my other lego sets.

This is sadly most likely correct. Movies usually take 4 to 8 months to hit DVD/Blu-Ray, and this falls in the middle, 5 months.

Nope. Will be out in may.

I've not seen the movie and will hold off buying sets until the BluRay is out.  I can't stand queues, large crowds or rip-off prices for refreshments so I never go to cinemas.  Nothing beats having a bottle of Barolo when watching my fantastic TV anyway. ;-)

The spaceship and the construction mech come out in August, always assumed they timed it with the blu ray release.

I only have bought three lego movies sets since early march

I chose the melting room as it has 20 more pieces that getaway glider and I bought the flying flusher

I like the lego movie

Metalbeard's Duel by far. What an incredible looking figure. Suckered me in to collecting and I've got the Sea Cow on the way in the mail. Can't wait.
