I am almost as excited for this set as I was when I first saw the Haunted House pictures last year. This set is going to be a big hit in my opinion. I typically don't even like technic sets that much, but this set rocks!! Thanks to Brickextra for the pics!

I'm not going to kill the value by checking if I have 8888 or not, probably the most valuable number, especially to the Chinese.

I am happy to report that the second Crawler I ordered arrived today and has an absolutely perfect box.. no hole in this one.  Ed said he will take the other one off my hands so he can build it.  I think I will sell it to him for $1500. What do you think?

I got mine last Thursday. I put it on eBay today for $700 with a 7 day expiration so I doubt it will sell. I have high hopes for this set.

My idea.....if someone ABSOLUTELY wants this set (to build it or to collect it) and doesn't able to get it from LEGO Shop at Home, he doesn't know how many people bought it to build it...only 3.000 bought it to sell/flip? so he has only 3.000 possibilities over 2.000.000 or 3.000.000 or 5.000.000 potential buyer...the percentage is very very very little and so any evalation about the future price is impossible...and so $700 seems to be high price but is a very low price :-)

Yeah - most of us thought it would do well, but it was sage like.

Looks like the prices have leveled off around 450. Those 459 499 buy it now people need to up it.

This is the sort of thing that is going to cause TLG to come down hard on resellers. But, as we all know;

 

all it takes is one to ruin it.....

He probably got 24 mates to order 2 each to compliment his 2.  I actually got my girlfriend to order an extra 2 to be delivered to her work and I thought I was being greedy!  I've sold my 2 and will build one of the others as I'm dying to see it.

Or maybe it was that guy that was buying most of the sets off the eBay so he could sell them all in one big lot.

One of my friends is having me sell one for him on Ebay for $450. I am seriously considering just paying him the price less fees and shipping as an investment. At just under $400 - probably a good deal.

Don't do it...

 

Open a regular crawler and put the hot rod on top of it instead.  Get a crawling hot rod!

i just received my last crawler in the mail from lego. the mech was shipped separate, however the box was damaged anyway! i'm worried it will drop. the price has fallen from about 500 to 430 in a day and a half. i imagine them dropping to 350 before leveling out and then going up to maybe 425 by the holiday season.
