An Unexpected Gathering will always sell well due to it being the Hobbit hole being iconic.

Over the long term I expect it to do better than the GKB set

haha! I own 6 right now and I feel the urge too. I actually got 3 in march from walmart.com for $60.97 that i'm going to return and pick up 3 more. It's a pain but worth $12 easily.

Goblin King battle is cheesy to me, but my 7 year old son and his friends seem to love it. Investment-wise I'd also stick with the Gathering.

Consensus would probably say yes. UG is a great set and spans both Hobbit and LOTR themes.

This is down to $55.73 and hopefully will stay that way long enough for any one of us to make the most of it!

The set has been up and down with this price for a while now. At least these last couple of months have been more steadily reliable.

walmart.com has the set for $55.83 with free site to store
