New to the lego collecting world and enjoy building however I am also Considering buying to invest and I am looking at this and holding as a collectable in box for resale in the future. 

 

Any thoughts on chances this will do okay in the future once retired?

    no hurry; will be available for another year or two

    current aftermarket prices are down 15-20% off RRP

    will it do well post retirement?

    reasons yes: iconic star wars, unlikely to be remade AGAIN for at least some time

    reason no: no exclusive MF, for a $200 investment...can probably do a lot better.  it's a large box so storage and shipping will be a hassle

    look at past 2012 version where RRP of $150 it hit max of $350-400; pretty good
