just bought my first lego sets...

picked up an orc forge (9476), shelob attacks (9470), and luke's landspeeder (8092) all for (slightly) under retail. thanks to the wife for saving coupons!

    Congrats on your purchases and welcome to the community! Do you have a Lego budget each month or are you really trying to fund your purchases by using coupons and deals? Personally, I am using Bing rewards and swagbucks as well as other promotional offers to fund or offset the majority of my purchases.

    not really a budget, but ive been selling off other collectibles to fund lego purchases.

    if something is on sale or clearance, ill just buy it outright.

    I 100% agree...assuming that the sale is more than 40%, then it is auto. Around 20% needs a little more thought though.

    Gotta love them coupons! Good picks all around. My money would be on The Orc Forge and Luke's Landspeeder.

    Not sure about Shelob Attacks, that one could do well mainly because of Gollum.

    Welcome to the addiction! Orc Forge and Luke's Landspeeder are great, good choices. Shelob should be ok but imo is a bit lacking.
