The ones I received were all damaged and I'm in the UK lol. Mine were all in sturdy boxes but still came bashed. I just don't think they care in there warehouses clearly. 

Oh dear, lol. I ordered from Zavvi as well. We'll see. All good from Zavvi so far, but I've probably just been lucky.

My Fiat package arrived today from Zavvi in excellent shape...unfortunately they sent the wrong set. 🥸

I don't think that I have ever received a Zavvi that wasn't smashed badly.

Sometimes if I order 3 of a set, the center one will be protected a bit by the other 2 sets taking the hit.

I ordered 3 and mine were all shipped the exact same way, individually. They were all pancaked. Also, one end of each box was sliced open so the set could have just slid out of the box... I am guessing that was from customs inspection.

Mine arrived today as well.  Luckily not pancaked, but did have damage on the face at both ends from being squished during shipping.  It was one set in a box big enough for probably five of them along with a ridiculous amount of air pillows.

HA! That explains why my 42098 from last year arrived in rough shape with a slice in the box and no shipping box. I just completed the build, so all was there, but still. Yikes.

Like many, mine also came crushed. I bought it for (eventual) resale. Are those with crushed boxes still planning on holding them, or are you going to try to return them? Has anyone had luck getting a discount from Zavvi for box damage?I’ve had luck getting Amazon and Lego to refund 10%, but this is my first order from Zavvi.

I have had good luck getting a % refund on damaged sets in the past from Zavvi. Use the chat to contact them.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Zavvi and the UK LEGO site are the only 2 places you can order from?

Per Lego Store Manager:  Only Europe has it and Zavvi is the only one delivering here.  The color option thing is something Lego is experimenting with, but the color options should make their way to Shop@Home at some point.

It's still available on the Zavvi uk site, maybe they sold out of their allocation. Or Lego told them to stop offering it overseas ?

Mine actually arrived yesterday in nearly perfect shape. Zaavi used a huge box and overfilled it with air pockets, now I wish I would have gotten more than just a personal build but it will still be fun.

My sets arrived in great condition for a change. My luck with Zavvi has been poor for the most part.

Five beauties from Zavvi. I've actually had really good luck with them. I got five ocean explorer ships yesterday in the same shape.

Just sold one for $170 on eBay. 
Not bad for a 1 day hold.
