Personally I think I'd rather buy this Pickup Truck set than the T2 Camper Van. This Pickup Truck looks like it's a fun build, and it looks pretty good all around.

And it looks like people on Brickset agree with my sentiments as well:

Less people own 10290 (already) but more people want it.

I need to see if they have all of the compatible parts in Sand Green, my Father in Law has an old tealish green truck, not as old as the Lego set depicts, but it would be a good gift.

I'm just curious - was anyone else missing a 2x3 red tile for the hood? I was. But in that bag of pieces, there was a 1x4 white plate, which isn't supposed to be in the set at all. I guess some machine put the wrong part in the bag, but then I was curious if it happened to others as well.

I've already requested the replacement, and it's on its way.
